"He had told me that he could still feel our bond and that he knew and had fate through that, son!" She said.

Her hands slightly held my chin before I turned my head to face her. "Tell me honestly, son, do you still feel her?"

The mate bond that connected me to Eden was a palpable presence, an ever-present reminder of our deep connection. Yet, no matter how hard I tried, no matter how desperately I reached out through that bond, I couldn't seem to bridge the distance that separated us.
