The room fell into a brief silence as everyone processed your question. The weight of the situation hung heavily in the air. Scott's expression was that of concern and decision as he finally responded.

"We have to be prepared for that possibility," he said, his voice serious.

"But our objective remains to secure Dave's release without putting his life at unnecessary risk. We'll continue to negotiate and gather information, and we won't give in to their demands easily. We're working on a plan that prioritizes his safety." Scott added.
