“Good Morning, Miss” A delighted Lisa said in a singsong way. She must be a Morning Person, I thought to myself as Lisa proceeded to open up the curtains.

“Gosh, close the curtains, Lisa. It’s too bright” I said, squinting and still not fully awake.

“Okay, I’ll close it” Lisa said. Drawing back the curtains.

“Good Morning, Lisa.” I managed to mutter still sleepy, getting up, forcing my eye to open and running my fingers through my messy hair as though I’m scratching it.

“My God, you are a mess” Lisa said.

“An hot mess? Thank You” I laughed. “Why are you here though?” I asked Lisa, Yawning.

“Well, breakfast is ready and Nanny McPhee demanded I fetch you” Lisa answered. “You had better go get yourself ready” Lisa continued, tugging at the edge of the sheet.

“I will, where is Connor?” I asked and rolled my eyes at the memory of our outburst the previous night.

“Downstairs, in the dining room” Lisa answered me, sort of confused as to why I asked.

“Oh” I mouthed, spitting out the p

It had seemed too fast, really fast, here I am getting a job offer! A real job offer, a decent job. I couldn’t believe it, I had to ask again. “What do you mean?” I asked. “I want you to come work for my company, as the financial manager.” Connor confirmed. “Oh My God, Thank You. Yes, I’d love to.” I shrieked. I love it and would love to start working as soon as possible as numbers are my most favorite things in the world. I have never really met anyone who loved numbers as much as I do, they’re basically my best friend. Although, I don’t really like the fact that Connor would be my boss, but, that doesn’t matter, working would mean being on a professional level and I will not always have to see him. “I’ve always loved numbers, anything that has to do with calculating and balancing, count me in. Thank you!” I finally finished, still shrieking. “Good, You will resume tomorrow. 8:00am, you must be punctual as there would be penalties for getting to wor

I had just made a new discovery. How didn’t I know? Connor’s last name is Ace? He is really that powerful? I should’ve known from the influence he’d used in getting me out of cell, the house, the cars, the maids. I was expecting him to be filthy rich, but really, this had exceeded my whole expectations. I’d been rude to the multi billionaire, Connor Ace is the world youngest billionaire and the most eligible bachelor, I’ve heard about him multiple times, but I didn’t get to see a picture of him. It all started making a lot of sense. I was already lost in my deep thought until the voice of the attendant jerked me back to reality. “Try these on, Miss” She said, handing me a pile of female suits and gowns. “That is the dressing room, you can call for my attention when needed” She continued, pointing towards the dressing room. “Okay, Thank You. Lisa, follow me” I said, giving Lisa little to no time to protest before dragging her in with me. “So, Connor owns ACE?” I asked

**CONNOR** She hasn’t called back since I had asked Roy to drive her and Lisa to the boutique. I thought with a slight frown, taking a break from my work and picking up my phone. I’d scrolled through my call logs before finally getting to Alannah’s number and I clicked on it. Ring ring came the sound at the other end of the call before it finally connected. “Hello” Alannah had said in her sleepy voice, sounding tired. “Hello” I said. “It’s Connor.” I continued introducing myself like she had no idea I was the one on the call” “were you sleeping?” I asked. Of course she was, what kind of question was that and why did I even call her in the first place, I thought to myself. “Yes, Mr. Connor, the shopping was exhausting and I just thought to take a nap” Alannah replied. “Oh.” I said, did she just refer to me as Mr. Connor? Alannah had just called me by my name with an hint of respect, I initially thought she was being sarcastic, but there was no hint

It had been a long day for Connor. The meeting was even more stressful than he’d imagined. Everyone pitching their ideas and him having to concentrate, one thing he really wasn’t doing. Immediately the last minute was taken, Connor was grateful, it had almost been like he was in hell and for some reasons he couldn’t wait to be home, he convinced himself he only needed a bit of rest, pinching the bridge of his nose, Connor sighed and subtly walked away. “My office is a mess, get it all cleaned up” he said to the lady at the front desk while walking out. He got into the car and signaled to the driver to drive, “Are we going to the mansion, Sir?” the driver had asked as it was too early and it’s quite unusual of Connor to get back to the house this early, he would usually go to a bar and stop for a drink or two and call one of his girls over, somehow, Connor liked the idea of having that much girls, they respected him, feared him a lot and he loved the feeling he gets by be

**Alannah** Connor walked to the dining hall, pale. He looked like something had happened to him back in his room, but he’d rather not talk about it, Nanny McPhee asked if he was alright and he reluctantly replied he was. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost” I had said. “Why don’t you mind your own business?” He replied. Yes, I should’ve just minded my business and kept my mouth shut. I watched as Connor made his way to his seat beside Nanny McPhee and she seemed to understand him, because he seemed like a small child the whole time. Finishing my dinner, I walked back to my room leaving both of them at the table. “Goodnight” I said, standing up, the chair making a creaking sound as I moved it. “Goodnight my dear” Nanny McPhee replied. I made my way upstairs and walked down to my room slightly anxious, but mostly excited about my new job. The company must be so desperately in need of a financial manager because Connor had asked me to resume to

I haven’t even gotten halfway through and I feel stressed out already. I felt really tired and I needed something to regain my energy. I need a cup of coffee. Picking up the telephone and dialed Bella, she picked not long after it rang. “Bella, please send Sam to my office with a cup of coffee. Triple shot espresso with heavy cream. Thank You” I said. “Okay, Coming right up” Bella answered and dropped the call. Not long after, Sam knocked on my door with my cup of coffee and I signaled that he comes in, I threw my head back against my ergonomic chair and sighed. “Are you Okay, Miss?” Sam asked. “You don’t look good.” I forced out a small laugh. “Oh yes, I’m perfectly alright. Just slightly tired, but I’ll be fine. I only need a cup of coffee and I’ll be good as new” I said as I took the cup from him and asked him to leave. “Okay” He said, relieved. Sam left and I took a sip of my coffe, it gave me a relaxing feeling and I let out another sigh. I decided I’d

Connor walked in and I stood up, I didn’t know why but I guess it’s because of the fact that he’s my boss now. “Please. Sit.” He said gently, while sitting down himself. I sat down and he started “I can see you’re fitting in quite well, Alannah” He said, he must’ve seen me get out of Camilo’s car the other time. “Oh yes, I am trying.” I replied. He squinted and looked at me for a while before finally nodding his head. “Okay. Good.” He said. “I noticed you worked on the files that was sent to my office very efficiently and that’s good.” He commended. “Thank you. I am not done with most of them as there is a lot to do, but I’ll make sure to finish it all as soon as I can, Sir.” I reluctantly added the “Sir” it felt somehow addressing Connor so formally, not strange just, somehow. “Okay, Good.” He said while standing up to leave my office. His cell phone rang and he picked it up on his way out, I couldn’t tell who was calling but I knew it was definitely someone speci

I stabbed at my food as I watch Connor sit down and I let out a small snare at him. He probably thinks he’s Brad Pitt with that hot body. I was thinking to myself, I was in my thoughts so much so that I didn’t realize Nanny McPhee had said something earlier. “Ana.” I heard the voice that brought me back to reality and puzzled because the way the voice had said my name made me jump a little, then I realized it was Nanny McPhee’s voice. “What?” I asked, turning to look at her. “What were you thinking? I’ve been trying to talk to you.” Nanny McPhee answered. “Nothing. It’s just, I’m really tired. I’m sorry.” I apologized and she gave me a sweet smile. I turned to look at Connor whose eyes were already fixed on me and as if he had gotten a satisfying result, he smiled before looking back down at his food. “This Sexy son of a fun really thinks....” I was thinking when Nanny McPhee’s voice came again. “How’s the work? Do you like it there?” Nanny McPhee asked

But, he’s asleep now, I suggest you get him something to eat and let him rest before getting to see him.” The doctor said, leaving us alone as we said our thanks.“He’s Fine!” Julia screamed, jumping on me and all smiles.“Yes, Yes He is.” I laughed too and after some time of celebration, we all made our way to go freshen up and make some food for Adrian when we get home.“You need to take a rest.” I said to Alannah and she smiled, hugging and holding me tight.“I’m just

I slowed him down.“You don’t want to do this.” He said trying to stand up. “I’ve been waiting for years to do this.” I punched him and he spat out blood. “That’s for Alannah.” I said. “This is for Nanny McPhee.” I said as I punched him again. “And this..” I said making my hand in a strong fist. “.... is for my mother.” I punched him hard not giving him a chance to breath or even speak. He was still so strong because he immediately rolled over and was on his feet in no time.“No fucking time pass by that I don’t remember how you killed her.” I let my anger surge through me as I dashed to where he was, he spun around quickly not letting me get to him.“She killed herself.” He answ

I opened my eyes in a dark room with a fuzzy head. My head and ears ringing, I tried so hard to remember what had happened but the more I tried, the more my head ached. “Where am I?” I asked myself as I tried to stand up and it was then I realized I was tied to a chair with my hands behind my back, my legs tied up too and my mouth duct taped. I groaned.“The more you try, the more painful it becomes.” I heard a familiar voice say, I strained my eyes to look properly and I saw Steve, Connors dad. I struggled more on the chair and tried to say something that only came out in a muffle as my mouth was taped already, he lifted his hands up and a man, My Uncle, came closer to remove the tape from my mouth, I spat and inhaled.“What do you want?” I said.“You know what I want. Connor does too.” He answered. “You just tell him to step down and everyone is fucking happy. That son of a bitch is stubborn and if anyone could talk to him, it’s you.” He added.“And you really think I will?” I said

Getting home, Connor made sure I took my supplements, we decided to stay back and watch TV for a while before going to rest.“The Multibillionaire and most eligible bachelor is set to be a father soon? Are these rumors true....” Came from the TV and Connor immediately switched it off.“How did they know?” I asked, puzzled. We’d made sure to not let anyone else in on the news except close families and maybe the servants around the house.“I don’t know but things about me don’t pass by the media that easily, they always find it all out eventually.” Connor answered.Ring ring. The doorbell rang and one of the maids had gone to answer it.“Connor! My man!” Adrian called as he made his way to us. Julia followed suit and gave me a hug.“Congratulations.” Julia said. “Thank you.” I smiled and turned to Adrian who also congratulated and gave me a peck.“And I’m sorry about Nanny McPhee.
