**CONNOR**“How did he get in?” Alannah whispered as she moved closer to stand beside me.“I don’t know but I’m not surprised.” I whispered back and I moved to stand in front of our unwanted guest. “You still wouldn’t give all that up? Why do you have to be so selfish?” I heard my dad say from the room I was in. My mum had warned me not to come out until she asked me to and I know it was because of the fight she was going to get into with my dad. It gets exhausting, I was tired of it all. ***10 minutes earlier***“Stay in here baby. I need to have a talk with your dad.” My mum said as she sat me down.“You mean fight?” I asked, holding her back and not wanting her to leave because the “talk” they usually have never ends well for my mum and she ends up getting bruises.“No. We just want to talk, adult conversation.” She said. “Also, you’re going to be a big brother soon.” My mum added as she guided my hand down to her belly and just at that moment, I felt it kick.“What was that?” I asked, confused and surprised.“That is your sister, she likes you.” My mum answered referring to the kick the baby did when I touched her belly.“I am having a sister?” I asked in excitement.

Hitting the wall and smashing the mirror in frustration, I groaned. The door opened and a terrified Alannah walked in.“What’s wrong? What’s the matter?” She asked, carefully walking towards me.“Matt just called me.” I started saying and Alannah nodded her head encouraging me to continue. “They escaped with them and he lost most of his men, he got hit too and he’s on his way to the hospital before we stopped talking.” I continued.“Oh God.” Alannah gasped, covering her mouth. “Is he Okay? Will he make it?” She asked and I nodded.“He’s strong, he seem fine.” I said. “I’m going to Cali today, I’ll call and let them know I’m coming so they can get the plane ready, I know where he might have taken them to.” I said, pulling up my phone and punching in a contact.“How do you know?” She asked me.“Might have been a long time but I knew him for eight to ten years, he’s my dad.” I answered as I placed the phone on my ear waiting for it to be answered.“Well then, lets start packing.” Alannah

“Where are we going now Sir?” Roy asked innocently oblivious to all of the happenings around us, after all we’d only gone for a vacation and we just arrived.“Where the fuck else do you think we’ll be headed to?” I yelled making him jump a little before taking the route home.“Connor!” Alannah called in a slight shout and I calmed, her voice, her presence is the only thing that managed to still keep me sane. I looked over at her for a while and when she mouthed “apologize” I had thought she was joking. “I found them. They’re here.” I called out to Alannah with a muffled voice, it smells horrible in there and I had to cover my nose and mouth. I sprinted to where Nanny McPhee was.“McPhee. As I looked around in search of Lisa, my phone rang. Ring ring ring. “Hello. Uncle.” I answered the call as I sniffed.“Where are you guys? Are you okay?” He asked and I could hear the worry in his voice. I sniffed again before I answered.“I’m good. Nan McPhee is dead.” I announced.“What?!” Uncle Matt said, shocked.“He killed her but I swear, I will not spare him when I find him. I’ll kill him, Uncle.
