CHAPTER FOUR ‘Jade’ EDITED

"I know you're pretty popular around here" he said with hate before continuing "What bothers me is why you're on my property" he says going straight to the point.

I pull my hands back and sighed.

Oh he's not an easy one.

I look at him, still at loss of words. I had no idea what to say to him that would impress him. So I did the most stupid thing a person would ever do. 

I ran away but not forgetting my shoes. Those cost #15,000 naira.

I ran to Suzy's pizza place, got in my car and take a deep breath.

I can't believe I just did that. 

Wait Sade didn't tell me Daniel owned that place, I thought he only went there to chill. And she didn't tell me he's rude and intimidating as well.

Oh my God!

I don't think I can do this anymore, I just ruined everything. Shit!

I need a drink. I can't think straight right now.

I drove straight home. Immediately I reached I went straight to the cabinets, where we kept drinks and grab a bottle. I didn't even look at the tag I kept on gulping it.

Suddenly it was snatched away from me by Jade.

I forget she was here. Before I opened my mouth to complain but the only thing that came out was vomit. 

I puked all over her golden dress. OMG!

"I'm so sorry Jade" I muttered before going upstairs to my room. I locked the door and sobbed bitterly.

This is a part of me I hate. Crying. Because I didn't know how to control my life. 

I'm very pathetic. First Phillip, my first love treated me like crap because I wasn't enough. I seduced him, I was ready to give him my virginity but he treated me like crap! I would still give him everything all he has to do is ask. That's how much I love him but now he's getting married.

And Daniel, he's intimidating. I don't know why I ran away from there, maybe because I forgot about who I was for a second.

I'm Ola Smith, one of the most important personality in the world. 

I looked in front of the mirror and took a deep breath.

"I'm beautiful, I'm smart, I'm rich and I'm worth it. Many men want me because I'm everything" I said forcing a smile on my face.

That's right I'm Ola Smith.

I wiped my tears and opened the door since someone was knocking on it loudly.

It was Jade and she was all dressed in an elegant but beautiful green dress. It's like it came with gold heels, black purse and gold necklace. It was amazing.

She handed me a book and I read it out loud.

"What I'm wearing is what your mom wanted you to wear but since you messed up my golden dress, you should keep that while i keep this" I laughed but agreed with her.

I'll have to dry clean that later and wear one of my white dresses.

It was now 5:15pm. 

I searched through my closet and brought out one of my white dresses with golden lace around the waist. I loved it because it was strapless with a v-neck and stopped just beneath my knees. I slipped in red wedges that could cover the small bruise on my leg.

Jade helped me do my hair and makeup which I was really grateful for. I wasn't really good at make-up. I put on a golden wristwatch and golden necklace.

I looked pretty!

I grab my red purse and we were off.

We got to the party and almost all of our workers were there. At least I recognize the ones I see.

Jade and I took photos together because this was probably the only time we would look good tonight because we were about to drink. At least, I was.

I posted some of the photos on I*******m and I started to get likes, comments and more followers.

I greeted my coworkers and we joked around. We took a few pictures together and soon enough my mom was here.

Immediately she sighted me she gave me a disappointing stare.

"Hello Jade, you look lovely!" She said hugging Jade who replied with her hands and she seemed to be thinking mom for the dress.

Mom understood sign language well so it was easy for them to converse. 

I leave the both of them to it and went to the bar to get a or two drink. I drunk down two glasses since I didn't want to embarrass my mom. She'd be pissed and she'll stop storing alcohol at home.

Mom addressed everyone and encouraged us to have fun.

I didn't even hear what she was saying anymore. I just wanted to be with Phillip. I hate that I love him. I know that he doesn't deserve me but the love I have for him is more than you can ever imagine.

I drunk down one more drink and soon enough I was unstoppable. I kept drinking to drown my sadness.

I quickly called Phillip and he picked up.

"Hheeyyyy my lloove I missssss yoouuu soo muchhh" I say burping.

"Ola! Are you drunk again?" He yelled through the phone. Before I could say anymore, my vision went blank and I passed out.
