SABRINA.The ride to the restaurant took less than one hour for us to arrive. And all through the drive, Davion did not say a word to me. Even when I tried to initiate a conversation between us he would turn it down or act as though he was unnterested in whatever I had to say. I need that the only reason why he decided to follow me was because he wanted to help Olivia's mum but then again I told him to at least try to make sure that I have a good time otherwise he will be sorry. I never had any intentions of going through with my plan but for the life in me if he keeps acting as though we were not in a relationship with each other then I will take the easy way out and blow her brains out without even thinking twice about it."Are you seriously going to ignore me all the way to the restaurant?" I asked him. He threw me a glance and looked at the opposite direction. "I will not have you disrespect me Davi. I know that you're upset and I also know that you don't want to go with me on th
SABRINA."How far do you plan to go in doing this?" He asked as we made our way inside."I don't understand what you're talking about." I pretended to act dumb and oblivious to what he was saying. I knew he was referring to the scene with the paparazzi outside but that was just a bonus. I don't care at all what he had to say concerning the matter."Please don't give me that crap Sabrina. What do you plan to achieve by inviting the paparazzi to come and make a media statement about us?" He repeated. I hummed as though I was thinking of a good response to give to him."All of this isn't just for me. You should understand that I'm doing it for you too. I mean do you know how much your stocks are going to cost in the general market when people find out that you're in a relationship with the president's daughter? You're going to get more business deals, more partners and more investors so you should be thanking me for pulling that stunt instead of yelling at me like you always do." I said
DAVION.I never regretted what I did to Sabrina. If anything, she deserved it. She had stooped so low to the point that I couldn't even recognize her anymore. Each time I tried to see through her or understand why she's doing all of this, my brain comes back blank. She was the last person I expected to treat me in such manner.Threatening me with someone's life just to get to me? That was so low, even for her. I can deal with a whole lot of things but definitely not that and so, I decided to return the favor. I always knew that Sabrina had certain issues with her dad. Issues that I had chosen to ignore because I had pitied her. She grew up In a family where love was not an option and it didn't reckon with her. It made her different and completely out of reach with the world but that wasn't an excuse for her to turn out the way she did and that was specifically the reason why I never wanted a relationship with her."You have always tried to replace my mother and now today, you have do
OLIVIA.I watched the news and I couldn't help the tears that rolled down my cheeks as I saw what was displayed on the television. The news was talking about davian and Sabrina confirming their relationship and their upcoming marriage which is to take place very soon. I thought that he would say something to debunk the rumours when Sabrina said it but he remained quiet throughout the entire time that I was actually starting to believe if he didn't want this like he had told me.When he tried to apologize to me the other time, he told me that he wasn't going to get married to Sabrina and that their relationship was nothing but a lie. How am I supposed to believe that piece of information when he couldn't even say anything to defend himself when she had claimed to marry him?I took another swig of my drink and with each passing second I could feel myself getting more and more drunk. Mike had tried all that he could to get me to stop drinking ever since we came here but I just couldn't.
OLIVIA.I woke up the next morning feeling completely tired and drained. My hangover had gotten worse and the migraine hit me as though I stumbled upon an avalanche last night. I should have listened to Mike when he told me not to have any more drinks but I was too stubborn and nursing my broken heart that I didn't give him a listening ear. Now I look like a wreck. As if a train just ran over me on the tracks.Pushing myself out of the bed, I made my way into the bathroom to have my bath. I stood under the shower and let the cold water cascade down my body from my head to my toe. I felt a bit refreshed after having my bath and then, I proceeded to pick out an outfit to wear to work today. I glanced at the clock in my bedroom only to realise that I was almost late for work. If I don't leave on time then I wouldn't be able to make it at all. This isn't how I had envisioned my day to go but I had been drunk out of my mind so it's not like I expected to wake up early even if I wanted to.
OLIVIA."This way." He led me towards his car and I willingly followed. I don't want to feel bad about my decision but it was only after I got in that I suddenly felt regret for standing up and leaving Davion to stand there all by himself. He looked shocked and I could tell that he wasn't expecting me to go with a stranger and reject his offer to ride me to work. Not that I am proud of my decision but I would rather accept the offer from a kidnapper rather than getting into a car with him.No matter how I tried to be strong, I still couldn't get past what I had seen last night on the television about his engagement with Sabrina. I still felt betrayed and the more I keep on giving in to him, the more it's going to ruin me completely. I love him and I know that I really do but maybe it's time to accept that our relationship was not meant to be in the first place. While we were growing up our parents separated us from each other and now that we were fully adults, we are being separated
OLIVIA.We arrived at work and I thanked him graciously for bringing me safely. To be honest if it wasn't for him then I probably would have been stranded or stuck waiting for a cab and if the worse had happened and gotten to the point that I couldn't control, I would have taken the option of going with Davion but I'm glad that he came to my rescue when I needed it."Don't sweat it Olivia. I'm glad that I could be of help. I would have done the same for anybody in your shoes. That's what humanity is all about."I was impressed with the way he spoke and the way he carried himself. Not a lot of men are able to do what he did which goes to say that he was a very intelligent person."Alright then, I'll be leaving now." I announced and made to leave but he stopped me."Can I at least have your number?" He asked stretching out his phone to me. "You don't have to give it to me if it's something that you don't want to do. I just want to be able to speak to you sometimes and also give you mor
OLIVIA.I walked into the company and I am surprised to see Mike at the entrance waiting for me. I swiped my card and after gaining access to go through the security, I walked up to him. His jaw was dropped to the ground as he stared at me with shocked eyes. If I didn't know any better then I would have said that maybe he had seen a ghost but knowing Mike, he was always used to making a big deal out of everything."What is it this time?" I asked the obvious even though something deep down inside me told me to just ignore and walk away without saying a word."Did I just see you coming out from Finn Holland's car or are my eyes deceiving me?" He asked and I twitched my lips, lost in thought."Finn Holland?" I repeated and he nodded almost immediately. "He told me that his name was Finn and that was it. Why? Is he someone important?""Are you fucking kidding me right now Olivia?" Mike almost yelled at me but composed himself when he realized that everyone had focused their attention on
