Today is my wedding day with Maritza, and although I trust Lucrecia's words, I don't want to attend this wedding. If it were up to me, I wouldn't hesitate to run away and leave her at the altar. But as I promised, I will go to that church, hoping with all my heart that the love of my life shows up and gives me a good reason not to marry my fiancée.

I dress in an all-white tuxedo, descend the stairs, and at the bottom, Maritza's men are already waiting for me. It seems as if she thinks I might run away at some point, which is why she called them to ensure I attend my own wedding. We get into the waiting van and head to the church.
