Amaya's POV:

I called Marco again, my frustration growing with each passing day. "Marco, why haven't you told Emilia the truth yet?" I demanded.

Marco sighed on the other end of the line. "Amaya, I don't know if I can do it," he admitted. "I'm scared of losing her."

I felt a surge of anger. "You're scared of losing her?" I repeated. "What about what she deserves? Doesn't she deserve to know the truth about your family and yourself?"

Marco hesitated, and for a moment, I thought he was going to make up another excuse. But then he spoke up.

"Amaya, I'll try," he said, his voice low. "I'll try my best to tell her the truth. But please, just give me a little more time."

I hesitated, unsure of what to say. Part of me wanted to keep pushing Marco, to force him to tell Emilia the truth. But another part of me felt sorry for him. He was scared, and I couldn't blame him.

"Fine," I said finally. "But Marco, you have to promise me that you'll tell her soon. She deserves to know the truth."

Amaya had always been like a mother to me, guiding me and advising me whenever I needed it."Amaya, can I ask you something?" I said, my voice hesitant."Of course, Marco," she replied. "What is it?"I looked up at her, my eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Do you think Emilia will ever be able to forgive me?" I asked.Amaya hesitated, unsure of how to answer. But then, she looked into my eyes and saw the sincerity there."I don't know, Marco," she said, her voice soft. "But I do know that Emilia loves you, and she wants to support you. If you're honest with her, and you explain everything, I think she'll try to understand."I nodded, feeling a sense of hope. Maybe, just maybe, Emilia would be able to forgive me. Maybe she would be able to understand why I had kept secrets from her.I thought back to the day I met Emilia. She was beautiful, smart, and kind. I was immediat

Emilia's POV:I sat in stunned silence, my mind reeling from Marco's words. "Mackle is my twin brother," he had said, his voice barely above a whisper.I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I couldn't breathe, couldn't think. All I could do was sit there, staring at Marco in shock. As I sat there, my mind began to wander back to all the times Marco had acted strangely. All the times he had been distant, or preoccupied. I had always assumed it was just stress, or work, or something else entirely. But now, I realized that it was something much deeper. Something that had been eating away at Marco for years.I thought about all the times I had asked Marco about his family, and he had brushed me off. I thought about all the times I had tried to get him to open up, and he had shut me down. And now, I knew why.Mackle was his twin brother.I couldn't even begin to process what that meant. I couldn't begin to understand why Marco had kept it a secret, or what it meant for our relationshi

As I listened to Marco's story, I felt my heart break for him. I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to grow up in a household where he was constantly compared to his twin brother and found wanting.I reached out and gently stroked his hair, trying to offer what little comfort I could. Marco's eyes fluttered closed, and he leaned into my touch, his body relaxing slightly."Continue," I whispered, encouraging him to go on.Marco took a deep breath and began to speak again, his voice low and husky. "As I got older, the competition between Mackle and me only intensified. We were always pitted against each other, whether it was in school or in sports. And no matter how hard I tried, I could never seem to measure up."I felt a surge of anger on Marco's behalf. How could his parents have done this to him? Didn't they realize the damage they were causing?"I'm so sorry, Marco," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "No one deserves to be treated like that."Marco's eyes opened, a
