Getting home, I met my wife sitting on the couch wearing a white bathroom robe operating her phone. My wife? Did I just call her my wife? Those two words felt strange and foreign? How could I even call her my wife? I waved these thoughts away from my mind.

When she sighted me, she rose to her feet. "Where have you been?" She questioned.

I ignored and was about to walk past her. She grabbed my arms. Don't I have the right to go out? Am I a little boy that doesn't know his way around here? Maybe she forgot that I was a street guy before we met. I lived most of my life on the street.

"Answer my question, Aryan. Where have you been?" She asked again and I yanked my arm away from her hold.

"I was at the bar with Parkinson. What else do you wish to know? I am exhausted. I need to go to bed now." I said and was about to leave when she blocked my way.

"You are not going anywhere, Aryan. I am still talking to you."
