“You mean I have to go to one of the brothers' rooms?”Annabel asked, a bit sceptical.
“That’s exactly what I mean” Mrs Jones declares with a warm smile on her face.
The thoughts of Annabel going to one of the brothers' rooms is making her a bit nervous as adrenaline rushes to her blood.
“Do I have to go in there, maybe you should assign something else to me?”Annabel nervously suggested.
“Do you have a problem with cleaning the master room?” She suspiciously questions her.
“No, I don’t have a problem with it. It is just that I don’t want to make any mistake in cleaning the room”Annabel quickly uttered to kill her suspicious eyes that were gazing at her.
“In that case, you aren’t fit to work here”Mrs Jones declares, making Annabel's eyes widened but she recovered immediately.
“I am very capable and very fit to work here”Annabel assures her with pleas evident in her tone.
“Then do as I say”Mrs Jones orders, Annabel nods not wanting to create any more chaos
“You will have to be fast because I don’t want him to see you in his room,”Mrs Jones added before walking away.
On getting to the room,Annabel politely knocks to see if anyone was inside but she didn’t get any response. She then remembered that he wouldn’t be home and she has to be fast in cleaning before he gets back.
She took a deep breath and finally opened the room door. She gasped immediately when she saw his room. It was all white and spotless, the bed was big enough to contain a whole football team. She got closer to the room and she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw his dressing room, it felt like she was in a clothing store.
‘These people are so filthy rich, this room definitely has to be in another different dimension’She blurted out loud, amazed by the decor of the room.
The room looked so spotless and clean, it made Annabel think on what she really needs to clean in here seeing as the place is clean enough already.
After fifteen minutes, Annabel got tired and decided to take a rest by sitting on the couch. As she was sitting on the couch, her eyes met with a beautiful robe. She wondered how the robe would look on her.
She took a longer stare at the robe and she couldn’t resist it anymore, she stood up from the couch and decided to try on the robe. She put it on and loved the way it looked on her, she had a big smile on her face as she stood in front of the huge mirror in the room.
“What the hell are you doing?!” A voice questions from behind with anger laced in his tone.
Annabel’s heart skipped a beat immediately when she heard the voice, she slowly turned to look at the person and it was the owner of the room standing in front of her. He looked really angry, with his messy hair that covered a little bit of his face and the disgusted look on his face was visible.
“I..am.. so.. sorry” Annabel stammered as she tried to take off the robe.
“Who gave you the right to come into my room and wear my robe?” He coldly asked.
Annabel took the robe off gazing down, she was so scared to look at him straight in the eye.
“I made a mistake, I promise it won’t happen again”She assures him.
“You can have the robe, I can’t wear that anymore knowing that your filthy body has worn them already”He coldly remarked.
Annabel bites her lips to prevent tears from rolling down her eyes, she keeps her gaze down and stands still with fear.
“I am really sorry”She apologized again feeling remorseful.
Annabel kept her gaze down, unable to look up at the pair of eyes that were dangerously piercing into her soul.Annabel could hear the sound of footsteps as another pair of feet were visible as she looked at it firmly.
“What is the matter Andrew?”The voice of the owner of the feet asked.
“It is nothing Albert, it is just some low life thinking she can have her way in my room”The owner of the room whose name appears to be Andrew rudely remarks.
“You are the new house help right” Albert asks, earning a nod as response from Annabel as she was too scared to look up.“Aww she looks so scared,”Albert added, feeling a bit sad for Annabel.
“Well she should be scared, next time she will think twice before coming in here”Andrew coldly stated.
“I think you should calm down a little bit, she is new here” Albert calmly tells him. “Why are you here?Albert questions Annabel.
“I came here to clean, I don’t know what I was thinking about when I put on his robe” Annabel mentally reprimanded her actions.
“You should have known better than to put on someone else’s clothes”He reprimanded her.
“I promise it won’t happen again”She immediately assures Albert at the verge of crying.
“It won’t have to repeat itself again because you are fired!” Andrew announced,Annabel immediately looked up with her eyes widened and immediately fell to his feet.
“Please don’t fire me, I promise I won’t make that mistake again”She pleaded with Andrew as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Let go of me!” He yells but she doesn't budge as she holds onto his leg wrist.
“You can’t just fire her just like that,” Albert tells him.
“I don’t want her here, her presence irritates me”Andrew disgustingly replies.
“I think that’s enough now!” Albert snaps, feeling annoyed “The poor girl is crying and you still want to fire her”Albert frantically scoffed.
“She isn’t the first I got rid of, why are you defending her?”Andrew curiously questions his brother Albert.
“She is new and needs adjustments, firing her is a bit too absurd”Albert states.
“I promise I won’t make the same mistake again”Annabel assures them.
“Get out of my sight!” Andrew yells but she doesn't leave.
“You need to go now” Albert tells her and she immediately stood up and left in tears.
Albert closed the door As soon as Annabel left and turned to look at Andrew.
“What?”Andrew frowns.
“What the fuck is your problem? Are you really going to pour out your frustrations on her?”Albert declares.
“Fuck!… I hate this!” Andrew yells before smashing his lamp on the wall.
“You need to get hold of yourself, losing a contract isn’t the end of the world”Albert tries calming him down.
“You know how hard it was for me right, I did everything and I still lost to him”Andrew's eyes were filled with rage as Albert stared at him.
“It is not just about losing that contract. I am always losing when it comes to him, firstly it was high school and now our profession too!” He continued before throwing another lamp on the wall.
“Enough,You can’t change anything by smashing these beautiful lamps on the wall”Albert tells him.
“It helps me relieve my stress a little”He calmly responded. Andrew went on and sat on the bed, his eyes immediately went on his robe on the floor “I guess I was a little bit hard on her”He sighs ruffling his messy hair.
“You were mean to her and you also got her fired”Albert added reminding Andrew what had transpired between them.
“Well she can have her jobs back, I mean it was mom who hired her in the first place”Andrew blurted out.
“I should go tell her that she isn’t fired and you didn’t mean it”Albert excitedly uttered as he was about to leave but Andrew's words made him halt in his tracks.
“Wait, why will you do that? Don’t tell me you want to have fun with this one also?”Andrew scoffs, giving him a suspicious look.
“Of course not, why will you even say that?”He defenselessly asked.
“You don’t have to tell her anything bro, the head housekeeper will do that”Andrew sheepishly grinned.
“Don’t give me that look, I have a fiancée remember”He reminds him.
“You didn’t think about that after messing around with the other housekeeper”Andrew pointed out, chuckling slightly.
“You acting like you are innocent”Albert frowns.
“I am not the one with the fiancée” He tells him with a smirk on his face.
“This is what I get for being the older brother”Albert sighs before leaving.
“It wasn’t a choice!” Andrew yells out but he is already gone.
Annabel was packing her belongings with tears in her eyes. Annabel POV He is so mean, how could he just fire me just like that, what the hell will I tell Juliet now. She will be so disappointed in me, what the fuck just happened?‘How someone that handsome be so cruel at the same time, I hate him so much. And to think I had a crush on him, at least his brother is a little bit nicer than him.Annabel still couldn’t believe she just got fired on her first day of work, all she could think about is the disappointment on Juliet’s face when she finds out about it.The knock on her down diverted her thoughts, she went immediately to check who it was. As soon as she opens the door, she saw an angry Mrs Montes standing in front of her.Annabel is terrified with the look on Mrs jones face.“Mrs… jones”She stutters, cleaning her tears immediately.Mrs Jones entered her room without Annabel’s permission.“What have you done? Do you know the consequence of your action?”Mrs Jones sternly questions
The look on all the chefs' faces shows how terrified they were. This was a mistake that shouldn’t have ever happened and knowing the kind of family the Torres were, the person will be punished severely.“What is going on, why are they all looking terrified?”Annabel whispers to Mrs jones.“Someone is trying to harm sir Andrew”She replies earning a gasp from Annabel “everyone knows that sir Andrew is allergic to pineapple, so it wasn’t an accident”She added.Annabel wonders who would have done it, she knew how annoying and irritating sir Andrew can be but she never imagined someone would actually try to harm him here.“Who do you think is responsible?”Annabel’s curiosity kicks in.“Whoever it is should pray that he/she never gets caught,”Mrs Jones silently utters a short prayer.“What will happen to the person?”Annabel questions like she was the culprit.“Let just say, the person will wish he never did that”She utters, giving her a death stare.Annabel is a little bit terrified, she is
Albert turns to look at her, he couldn’t get a glimpse of her face because her gaze is on the ground.“You don’t have to look down, you can always look up to talk to me” he says with a friendly tone.“No sir, it will be disrespectful of me to stare at you” she says with fear in her tone.Albert couldn’t help but be amazed by the house keeper’s reaction.“What is your name?” he asks calmly.“My… name… is.. Annabel” she stammered.“That is such a beautiful name”“Thank you sir” she stuttered “sir, your father calls for you” she says with her gaze still on the ground.“What does he want?” He asks coldly.“I have no idea about that,” she replies.“Thanks for informing me,” he says calmly.“I will take my leave then”“Wait, don’t leave” he says as he gets up from the couch. He majestically walked slowly towards Annabel. Annabel’s heart skipped a beat knowing he was coming towards her, she took a step back when he got closer.“You don’t need to be scared about anything, I won’t hurt you” he
The last thing Annabel wants right now, is to make any contact with sir Albert.“I don’t think I should be the one to go get him his coffee” she says with a nervous tone.“Don’t even get started with me Annabel,” Mrs jones says with annoyance “take this, and give it to him” she says with a strong tone while handing over a cup of coffee to her. Annabel took the cup of coffee from her, she knew she had no choice but to go to sir Alberts room.‘It will be fine Annabel, just give him the coffee and try not to make any physical contact with him’ she whispers to herself.Getting to his room, she knocked at the door but she didn’t get any response from anyone. She decided to go in to drop the coffee since it will be better not seeing him.She opened the door and was shocked by what she saw. It was a half naked Albert, he had a lean muscular body and Annabel couldn’t help but drool over the body. She stood there for over 30 seconds before she turned her back so he wouldn’t notice that she wa
The smile on Annabel’s face as soon as she saw Juliet could light up an entire room.“Juliet!” Annabel yells with excitement as she goes ahead to give her a big hug.“I missed you so much,” Juliet confessed as she tightened the hug.“Not to break your reunion but we have a lot of work to do” Mrs jones says uttered from behind.“Oh, sorry” Annabel broke the hug. “I would love to take Juliet to my room so she can stay there and wait for me to do what I have to do” Annabel announced hoping she will agree.“I don’t think ma’am will be pleased if she finds out about your visitor” Mrs jones declares a bit skeptical of letting her take Juliet into her room.“She isn’t just any visitor, I assure you that madam won’t have any problem seeing Juliet here” Annabel tries persuading her.She believes since Juliet and her madam were already familiar there won’t be a problem.“It is fine as long as she stays in your room and doesn't distract you and one more thing, she can’t sleep over”Mrs Jones war
Annabel was bothered about Juliet's sudden change of tone and decided to question Juliet about her sudden change of mood.“What is the problem?”Annabel asked with worries laced in her tone.“I just wanted to let you know that you shouldn’t forget about the lie we told. You are a married woman and you should act like one”Juliet reminded her about what they had to do to get her the job.“Is that all?”Annabel asked, wondering if she was done.Juliet nodded softly.“For a moment I got really scared,I won’t forget about being married, I will always keep that in mind”She assures Juliet with a bright smile on her face.“It is time for me to finally leave, you should focus on your work and don’t get into any trouble. And most importantly stay away from those brothers especially the younger one”Juliet seriously warned her.“I will stay away from them mom”Annabel jokingly said giggling a little.“I wish you can also work here with me as well”Annabel admits, pouting a little.“You know how distract
The sight of a half naked Andrew frightened Annabel. She almost dropped the cup of coffee but she was able to control the cup from falling.“I’m so sorry”She apologised immediately, turning her gaze away from him towards the door.Andrew scoffs and walks closer to her.“I think you should dress up, this isn’t a good sight for me”Annabel's voice came out pleading, hoping he will listen and not make things more awkward for her.“What do you mean, this is my room and I can dress however I want to dress”Andrew’s husky voice pointed out,he had a devilish smirk on his face“Can you excuse me a little?”He politely asked.Annabel was confused on why he was being polite but she immediately excused him without questioning him.He closed the door, which caused Annabel’s heart to skip a beat. She couldn’t help but think about the negative thing that is about to happen right now.“W..what..do..you..think you are doing”She stutters on seeing the door closed. He scoffs and walks directly to her “You d
Albert left his room to go talk to Andrew because he desperately needs to talk to him about the situation.“Hey, I need to talk to you”He enters Andrew’s room uninvited, making Andrew flinch a little.“Come on brother,You scared the shit out of me” Andrew held his chest panting a little at the sudden invasion of his room.“I am so sorry about that, but I desperately need your advice on something”Albert blurted out sitting on Andrew’s bed.Andrew left his desk to go sit beside his brother.“Should I be worried?” He asks with a concerned tone.Albert sigh… “I did try to take your advice about the whole Tracy situation and the engagement”He explains.“Oh! I totally forgot, how did the lunch date go?”Andrew excitedly asked.“Did you do exactly as I told you to do” he added with a grin on his face.“Didn’t you hear what I said, I didn’t go along with your plan. I just couldn’t”Albert admits with a disappointed tone.“Don’t tell me you suddenly have feelings for her?”Andrew asks as he raise
Annabel and Juliet found themselves in a state of bewilderment as they stood face to face with a man donning a distinguished beard, his friendly wave capturing their attention. Amidst the moment, Juliet instinctively grasped Annabel's hand, forming an unspoken bond between them as they cautiously approached the enigmatic figure, Andrew, whose countenance bore a semblance of disguise. Juliet, seemingly oblivious to the potential clandestine nature of their encounter, couldn't help but express her amazement. "Woah, Alex, I never knew you were this hot," she complimented, punctuating her words with a playful giggle. Annabel, however, was quick to quell her friend's exuberance, gently jerking her and signaling for quiet. As their trio converged, Annabel's discerning gaze met Andrew's, finding him already fixed on her with a subtle smirk adorning his lips. This triggered a sense of familiarity within Annabel, a recognition of that smirk, yet an elusive memory left her struggling to p
Annabel and Julie found themselves in disbelief as a mysterious figure with a masked face stood before them. Annabel, unable to contain her curiosity, questioned him with a puzzled stare, "Who are you?" Andrew, attempting to maintain an air of mystery, smoothly shifted his glass before settling in next to Julie. A silent exchange of glances between Annabel and Julie revealed their mutual confusion. Annabel inquired, "What's going on?" with a lingering tone, and Julie, equally bewildered, shrugged in response. As Andrew took a deliberate sip, he cleared his throat, adjusting his voice pitch to conceal his identity. A concealed smirk adorned his face beneath the mask as he disclosed, "I heard you guys need someone to act like a fake husband." Julie, momentarily taken aback, blinked twice before responding, "Yes, we do. We actually need someone to act as her husband for a day," pointing at Annabel, who was fixated on Andrew. Sensing Annabel's intense gaze, Andrew flinched imperc
Andrew, now visibly perplexed, continued to scratch the back of his head as he approached the table behind the coffee shop. "Annabel, where are you?" he called out, unaware of the clandestine activity transpiring just inches away. His eyebrows raised inquisitively as he surveyed the area, considering the possibility that she might be hiding. "Could she be behind this table?" he mused aloud, taking a cautious step forward as his eyes scanned the surroundings. Beneath the table, Annabel's heart raced at the realization that Andrew was inching closer. Panicking, she whispered urgently to Julie and the guy with them, "He's coming here! Why is he coming here?" Her eyes widened with concern, scanning Andrew's every move. Julie, caught off guard by the sudden urgency, questioned, "What's going on, Annabel? Why are we hiding?" Confusion clouded her expression as she tried to make sense of the situation. Annabel turned toward Julie, her voice barely audible, "That's Andrew." Julie's
One windy day, Annabel sat in her room, thinking hard. The wind outside matched the whirl of thoughts in her head. She had a big job ahead—getting Mrs. Jones to say yes so she could meet Julie. But this mission wasn’t just about typical friend talks. Restless, Annabel got up, pacing her room. “How do I ask Mrs. Jones to let me see Julie and talk about our plan for finding a fake husband?” she wondered, gently stroking her chin. The situation felt serious, full of uncertainty. In a moment of contemplation, Annabel's phone interrupted the solitude with its insistent ringing. Her eyes darted to the device resting on her bedside table, and without hesitation, she reached for it. The caller ID revealed Julie's name, and a sense of urgency compelled her to answer swiftly. Julie's voice burst forth from the speaker, a cacophony of excitement. "Get down here quick! I've found someone perfect for the job!" Annabel winced at the unexpected volume, hastily pulling the phone away from her
It has been precisely seven days since Annabel received the unusual request from Mrs. Torres to extend an invitation to her husband, a directive instigated by Mrs. Torres's concern for her sons, Albert and Andrew. The underlying motive was to serve as a deterrent, preventing any potential romantic entanglements between the aforementioned sons and Annabel. In the seclusion of his study, Andrew, immersed in his thoughts, couldn't help but vocalize his desire for Annabel. "I want her to be mine," he uttered, grappling with his emotions while nervously biting his lip. Despite the intense yearning for Annabel and the allure of her touch, Andrew realized the necessity of maintaining self-control. He understood that any hint of impropriety could lead to suspicion and, subsequently, his mother dismissing Annabel from her position. Caught in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions, Annabel found herself walking along the mansion's passageways when she unintentionally eavesdropped on Mrs. Tor
Mrs. Torres, perceiving Annabel's evident confusion, addressed her with a blend of concern and curiosity. "Annabel, why do you seem so lost?" Mrs. Torres inquired, her attentive eyes focused on Annabel's troubled expression, sensing there was more beneath the surface. Caught off guard, Annabel met Mrs. Torres's gaze and took a moment before offering a glimpse into her internal turmoil. "It's just... I was thinking about your request," Annabel admitted, her voice tinged with a touch of nervousness as she tried to articulate the complexity of her thoughts. Mrs. Torres, expecting a more elaborate response, raised an eyebrow, prompting Annabel to delve deeper into her contemplation. "What about my request has you so preoccupied?" Mrs. Torres pressed further, her tone firm yet encouraging, urging Annabel to open up. With a sigh, Annabel felt compelled to be honest. "Mrs. Torres, the thing is, I don't have a husband," she confessed, her words carrying the weight of potential c
Albert’s keen gaze remained fixed on Andrew, waiting for an explanation. Andrew, struggling to find the right words, stammered, “Uh, I… I was just checking on Annabel. You know, making sure everything’s okay.” Albert raised an eyebrow, skepticism evident in his tone. “Checking on Annabel? Why all of a sudden? Is there something you’re not telling me?” Andrew hesitated, a mix of guilt and uncertainty crossing his features. “It’s just… things have been a bit complicated lately, and I thought I should see how she’s doing,” he finally admitted. Albert, though intrigued, couldn’t shake the feeling that Andrew wasn’t revealing the whole story. “Complicated? What’s going on, Andrew? Why the sudden concern for Annabel?” The air in the corridor grew tense as Andrew’s frown deepened, irritation bubbling beneath the surface. Albert’s barrage of questions had struck a nerve, and Andrew decided it was time to turn the tables on his curious brother. “Albert,” Andrew began, his voice car
Meanwhile, outside Andrew’s room, Annabel leaned against the hallway wall, nursing her wounded hand. The sting of the cut was a tangible reminder of the unexpected turn of events. She replayed the scene in her mind, from Mrs. Torres’ stern warning to Andrew’s impulsive reaction. In the sprawling cotton field, Annabel caught sight of Andrew approaching, and a sudden surge of discomfort prompted her to seek refuge amidst the cotton plants, concealing herself from his view. Andrew, oblivious to her evasive maneuver, continued walking until he stood in the midst of the cotton, his eyes scanning the surroundings. “Annabel?” Andrew called out, his brow furrowing in confusion. He trailed his hand through his hair, a gesture of mild frustration. “Where could she be?” Hidden in the cotton, Annabel observed Andrew’s perplexed demeanor and wondered about his persistent attempts to be near her. A fleeting thought crossed her mind – could Andrew be in love with her? She quickly dismissed t
Andrew's mother raised an eyebrow, a stern expression on her face. "Andrew, we need to talk," she declared, her tone leaving no room for argument. Andrew's earlier amusement quickly turned into apprehension as they headed to a more private space for the impending conversation. In the secluded space, Andrew's mother fixed him with a piercing gaze. "I hope you have a reasonable explanation for what I just witnessed," she stated, her voice firm. Andrew shifted uncomfortably, attempting to choose his words carefully. "It's just a misunderstanding, Mom. Annabel and I were discussing her new schedule, and things got a bit... intense," he explained, avoiding direct eye contact. His mother's expression remained unyielding. "Intense? That didn't look like a professional discussion to me," she remarked, crossing her arms. "I hope you're not taking advantage of your position, Andrew." Andrew sighed, realizing the gravity of the situation. "No, Mom, it's not like that. I just wanted to
