Confession

Everything was a blur. From the moment Iori had been pried out of his arms was a complete blur.

When he’d seen the blood coming out of the wound on Iori’s side, it all came crashing like a big wave. She was injured, she was bleeding… Iori was bleeding.

Trying to put pressure on the wound, he kept calling out her name but her eyes never opened. Her face got paler and paler and the blood wouldn’t stop flowing out.

In his frenzied state, he carried her in his arms while still talking to her, begging her to hang on and not leave him. Iori couldn’t leave him. She just… couldn’t.

Bright light hit him on the face and he couldn’t see anything for a moment, then a group of people came running toward him with scrubs and a chariot and they pried Iori out of his arms before he could even utter a word.
