Chapter 31: Hiding From Him

Little Cia sat at the dining table, pushing her food around her plate with a frown on her face. Her appetite seemed to have disappeared, she looked up at her father with sadness in her eyes “Daddy”

“Why isn’t mommy back yet, you said she will be back today so where is she?”

“Oliver’s heart sank, he knew for sure that she would ask about her mother but he was not able to prepare himself for what he was going to say to her since he had spent the last 35 hours looking for Nuella. He had to gather a lot of courage and come home to have dinner with Cia since he had to look after her and be there for his daughter.
