After the incident during the full moon, Tyr and Zane had gotten a lot closer than before; no more empty conversations between their eyes, awkwardness had gone from little to almost none, and Tyr being extra attentive at Zane’s every little thing. And he knows Keira isn’t liking his closeness with her best friend. The alpha female always shows her dislike with her strong scent whenever Tyr and Zeev are around Zane. Tyr understood. He even thought that Keira and Zane were a couple. So, he just lets her harass them with her pheromones from time to time.

Back in Moon Stone three days after the hunt, another incident happened that stirred up the council.

“We will be needing to send some deltas out for the supply of wolfsbane for the next hunt. I’ll come right after I meet the king alpha.” Tyr said while he was walking away from the Alpha camp with Zeev.

“Don’t worry about it. I can go. I’ll bring Zane, too.”

Zeev nonchalantly dropped the topic about Zane’s necklace to not draw any suspicions from the human omega. As the warm breeze subtly felt quite heavy by the time, the sun is now halfway set behind the lines of the mountain. It’s time for them to go home.“I think these should be enough.” Zeev almost grunted while putting his free hand on his waist, acting a little tired but only because he doesn’t want to breathe in the scent of wolfsbane no longer.Zane checked his own pouch that is also now full. “Yeah, I’m done with my fill, too.”After securing their supplies, the two hopped on their motorbike and hit the road again. The air is heavy, but the temperature starts dropping along with the sunset, though it is still a bit warm. It was refreshing for Zane who only had gone around the town and the forest. Nature surely has its way to calm you down. They were silent almost half of the ride. They bo

Before reaching the house, Zane asked Keira and Theo to keep what happened from his parents with the reason not to worry them. Albeit hesitant, Keira agreed and even helped him with his alibi for the purple bruises on his forehead. Luckily, Esme and Seth were still out, and they found themselves alone in the house. The lady stayed just before dinner to make sure Zane is okay before she worriedly bid her farewell. After walking her best friend outside, he went back in his room and that was when he noticed the dirt on his pants and some on his sleeves that he couldn’t completely remove. So, he decided to wash before his parents come home.Zane could still feel a bit weary on his shoulders and neck as he slightly grimaced while taking off his clothes after getting in the shower. That’s when he felt a tiny cold touch on his chest. It was his stone necklace. He felt it with his fingers before hesitantly removing it from him.He gazed on it, feeling the sl

Twenty Years Ago.“Argh!”A loud, painful wail bounced on every wall of the royal lair where the pack’s luna usually gives birth for her pups. Only the royal family and the elder delivering the baby are allowed inside, along with the royal subjects to guard the immediate family and the new member of the pack. The rest of the guards then surround the entire boundaries of Moon Stone, betas scattered outside the lair.“I’m seeing the head. One more push!” the elder said.Morrigan clutched on her alpha, hard. Her claws almost penetrated on the alpha’s skin, but it was nothing for him. Frey let the luna throw her back on his chest while he let his queen grab on him, borrowing some energy to push harder one last time.“Argh!”The luna used all her strength to push, gritting her teeth as her core contracts. After the revelation, Zane has been a little off lately. Sometimes, it scares him to remove his necklace now because he has been aware of the changes in his senses every time he has no protection around him. There’s a human part of him regretting removing his necklace, but now that he knows there’s also another part of him inside, he really wants to know more. Because of this, he’s been distancing himself with almost everyone, even his parents. He knows Keira is sulking even more. But he can’t bring himself to tell her about him being a completely different creature.Giving himself enough time to think, he finally decided to open himself up to the other world that will tell him his origin. Being out of reach except during school for two full moons, Zane asked Tyr and Zeev to introduce him to their kind. Though he hasn’t seen Zeev shed skin, Tyr’s words about his cousin being a werewolf was enough for Zane to believe him. After all, he remem

Tyr blinked rapidly, trying to process what Zane just said. Seeing the flustered reaction from the wolf prince, Zane jeered at him.“Don’t get me wrong. I feel like, I won’t be able to sleep if you just leave me here.”Zane flashed pleading eyes on Tyr, but the latter was still surprised by the unexpected request. So, Zane cleared his throat before speaking again.“But, if you’re not used to sleeping with someone else on your bed, it’s fine.”Tyr looked at him with a subtle curve on his lips before silently going out the room. Zane sharply exhaled. Well, at least Tyr’s scent will accompany him for the night. Maybe it’ll induce sleep on him. So, he just softly patted the soft duvet and carefully climbed on the bed. That’s when he heard footsteps coming to him. When he turned, Tyr was already standing beside his bed with the pillow and blanket he set for himself.A huge smile immediate

“Can I kiss you?”Tyr’s words echoed in Zane’s head. He froze at the moment, feeling that warmth inside his chest while looking straight at the alpha’s eyes.Despite his pounding chest, Zane’s eyes travelled down Tyr’s lips that were subtly parted. As if he’s already entranced, the omega robotically nodded, pulling up his gaze on Tyr’s eyes again. That’s when they both heard each other’s heartbeat hammered in their chests, both feeling nervous yet delighted.Tyr leaned in closer, staring back and forth at Zane’s eyes and down his plump lips. He slowly closed his eyes and gently brushed his lips against Zane, ever so lightly, but both felt electric in their spines from the soft and subtle contact.Their lips touched for a mere second. Tyr was worried he might lose control of himself if he pressed his lips longer. But he was a bit of surprised when Zane leaned in this time to quickly pe

The sun is now slowly rising at the sky, giving more warmth on the things its glow touches. Zane has his right arm spread out, feeling the temperature between warm and cold hitting his skin while he slightly bounces on Tyr’s back. His prince wolf could smell his candy-like scent despite the opposite direction of the air gushing through them. He’s happy to know that Zane is enjoying his ride on his wolf and how he can evidently feel that tiny tickles in his chest and stomach, not from the wind, but from his omega on his back. Not that Zane is paying much attention on how long it has been, but the forest tracks are quite expanding more than he expected. However, the ride on Tyr’s wolf has been nothing but bliss and gaiety. Because of the height he is on, his eyes bathed in the wondrous of the northern Moon Stone forest – truly a work of nature. After a while, Zane could already see the end of their woods where he could see a vast open landscape th

If it was another person he knows in town, he would gag and cringe. But Tyr’s eyes and words are carried with sincerity that he could not even tease him back, not wanting to ruin the moment. Instead, his chest warmed even more along with the summer sunlight. After a short while, they then decided to go back before the sun peaks high up at the middle of the sky. Tyr looked for something he could make out as a rope to bind their catches. Although dried up a little, Tyr noticed that Zane’s shirt was still drenched especially the back because they laid down for quite a while on the grass.Tyr picked up his shirt and asked Zane to take off his. “You can take off your shirt and use mine.”Zane’s brows twitched as he smiled. “Thanks, but I’m fine. I’m almost dry anyway.”“Should I take off your shirt for you then?”Tyr’s musky pheromones immediately came on Zane upon his words which m

Tyr twitched his eyes from the warmth of the sunlight bathing his entire room. He grunted away his drowsiness and stared at the window for a few minutes, feeling nostalgic and melancholic from the memories of him and Zeev he just saw. It seemed like a dream, but Tyr just knew they were his memories with his cousins. Before he dwelled on too much from it, Tyr detached himself from the comfort of his sheets to start his day. As planned, he took his breakfast in his parents’ house and while they weren’t still in their best terms, Alpha Frey and Tyr remained the same except it quite not sometimes – especially whenever the pack alpha reminds him about the succession. “Are you ready for tonight?” the luna asked in the middle of their meal with her soft voice. “Hmm… How about you?” Tyr replied while munching his food. “I’m excited! We are excited.” Morrigan looked her mate from her other side who just subtly nodded. “You… don’t have to come if you don’t want to.” the prince cleared his t

“I’ve seen the mark last night.” “Me too. It’s my first time seeing a half mark.” “It’s amazing but kind of scary at the same time.” “No wonder he never takes off his shirt during trainings.” It hasn’t even been twenty-four hours since his first shift happened, yet Tyr had become the talk of the pack after seeing his half mark for the first time. It was finally his thirteenth birthday, and royal marked wolves normally went through their first shift once they reach the age of thirteen. It was a day Tyr looked forward to and had a lot of worries at the same time because he’d be flaunting his half print to the entire pack for the first time. “Hey, go back to Alpha Camp. Marcus is waiting for everyone.” Tyr heard Zeev’s voice, making the gammas scattered and walked away. A subtle smile plastered on his face and felt Zeev’s hand over his shoulder – a very familiar habit from his only cousin. “Hey there young wolf.” “Hi, Zeev.” Tyr casually greeted back while the older guy beamed at

Zane’s wolf automatically bowed as well, acknowledging the presence of the Moon Stone alpha king. Tyr remained on his stand, waiting for his father to stop in front of him. “We heard your calling.” Alpha Frey communicated in their wolf bond. The betas started capturing the rogues while their highest-ranking wolves assessed their own matter. “I never meant to call the pack.” It seemed that the moon energy from Tyr hasn’t subsided just yet as his response almost came off upset. “Hand him over. He shall be punished.” Zane panicked after hearing the pack alpha and immediately stood tall on all fours and covered Zeev’s injured wolf from the sight of King Frey. “Please don’t kill him.” The pack alpha turned to Zane’s wolf. “The council will decide whether to kill him or not.” “No.” Tyr interrupted. “I get to decide whether to kill him or not. He’s my royal subject. I get to punish him.” King Frey’s wolf straightened on its back, almost dominating the wolf prince with his size. “I

But his mate continued to charge at him, eyes losing their focus. The rogues surrounded them at Zeev’s command, watching the royal princes fought. Zeev had a victorious and mocking smirk on his face while enjoying his cousin’s situation. Killing Tyr wouldn’t be that exhilarating to Zeev if it wasn’t for Zane. Everything he planned out gradually came into play in front of his very eyes. He internally praised himself for doing an excellent job in conflicting pain and torture Tyr using Zane.Snarl!Zane’s wolf snarled at Tyr and started attacking him again. All Tyr could do was avoid Zane as much as he could, not wanting to hurt his mate.‘Zane! Please! Fight it!’ Tyr pleaded in their link.Even the rogues were enjoying the fight happening between Tyr an

Zeev saw the frustration and anger in Tyr’s eyes, his wolf was desperate to come out and devour him. When he saw that slight hesitation to turn, Zeev took the chance to play the situation into his advantage. He knew Tyr will be much stronger in his wolf form than him.“Careful, Tyr. Once you turn, I’ll feed Zane to the rogues.”Hearing this, Tyr’s jaw only clenched harder. The more he moved, the more Zeev penetrated his claws in Zane’s skin. He could feel the invisible tearing of his skin and the same pain Zane was enduring. The blood continued to drip down Zane’s body.Feeling the strong senses and urges inside him, Tyr’s brows furrowed and quickly looked up at the sky. That’s when he realized, it will be a full moon in a few minutes. With a lot going on in his mind, he forgot about the moon cycle for the first time. It must be another reason why Zeev started all this because of the full moon. Newborns are u

That’s when his nose twitched and noticed the unfamiliar wolf scent mixed in the human scents in the classroom. His steps slowed down while he scrutinized Theo’s side profile, gradually drawing suspicion on their human classmate.‘Zane.’ Tyr called out in their link as he took a seat.‘Yes? Did you receive a message from Zeev?’ Zane replied while listening to Keira.‘Do you smell something strange? Or rather oddly familiar?’ Tyr saw Zane twitched his nose from the side before he heard his response. ‘A wolf scent? In this room?’ Zane looked around their room and figured out who could it be.This gesture prompted Theo as he easily read Zane’s subtle action, but he remained calm and quiet.‘A newborn.’

He initially thought it was already morning, but the dim light of the room told him otherwise. In his blurry vision, he noticed Tyr tucking himself under the sheet as carefully as he could. He faintly smiled and when he felt Tyr’s figure beside him, he immediately wrapped his arm around his mate which made the latter a bit startled. That’s when Zane felt his necklace around him that made him completely open his eyes.“Did I wake you up? I’m sorry.” Tyr almost said in whisper.Zane held his necklace and looked at Tyr with questioning eyes. “What happened?” he asked after noticing the puffy eyes on Tyr.The wolf prince forced a smile. “Nothing.”“I don’t remember wearing this.” Zane referred to his necklace to which Tyr carefu

He was very close to Garren, treating him both as his mother and father. His brother took really good care of him, giving him every form of love and attention he wanted even though he was also a royal subject to Crown Princess Amaris. He was a bit spoiled at least by his brother, and he was happy to have him around. However, the bloody ambush of Crescent Luna against Moon Stone cost his brother’s life. The innocent four-year old Zeev witnessed how his brother died before his very eyes, and Amaris, who was also ripped by a royal wolf of another pack – both of them died protecting the three-month old Tyr. At such a young age, the loss of his brother and only family took a toll on little Zeev. The trauma negatively impacted his innocent mind, shutting everyone around him for years, and not even socializing wi

Tyr instantly hugged Zane, he could feel his chest drop at the bloody sight of his mate crouching on the floor.“I’m sorry. I should have gone faster.” his voice trembled from the mixture of fear and rage.“I-It’s okay.” Zane grunted the pain. When he broke the hug, he turned to his side and saw Keira looking so horrified and shocked about what just happened.“K-Keira…” when he was about to reach out for her, she shrunk on her shoulders and started shaking again.“They’re gone now.
