Roars, screams, screeches, and laughter sounded throughout the coven. Along with that was the sound of fighting that caused the place to shake.

Feeling frustrated, Crystal placed a pillow over her face and screamed because the place was too loud for them to get any rest.

"Don't these damn lores ever sleep?" She asked herself.

"Shut up!" One of her roommates yelled.

"If you were sleeping, you wouldn't have heard me talking to myself," she responded.

It's been like that for two days now, and in a couple of days from that, they go to war. But everyone was only busy partying, and killing each like there was no pending war. They had no care, and you would think they had already won with how cocky they were behaving.

Crystal rolled over facing the wall, her mind was racing. She tried to block out her thoughts, but it was no good. The mess of the place was just too much, and she was afraid that she would lose her mind.

"Hey there," she gasped, then looked over to where the voice was coming f

Scarlet was giving orders to everyone on where to set things up around the village and the mansion so the place can be protected while the war was going on. "We can set them up here, on the roof here, and over here." Scarlet pointed to a map that showed the layout of the Ridgeview. Horatio nodded. "What about here?" He pointed near the river. "That's a good idea. Emma and the water nymphs could use the reinforcement." Scarlet said. "Do you really think this is going to work?" Chris asked, looking at the map, then at her. He was trailing behind them the entire time, peaking at the map with every chance he got. "No," Scarlet said dryly. Everyone paused to look at her. Brad barked out a laugh. "Why are we doing it, then? I mean, if we all are going to die might as well just go into this and accept our faith." Horatio exchanged a look with his mate, and she sighed. "I never said that we are going to lose, but there is no guarantee a water cannon will protect the mansion from a siren

Scarlet grinned, then rolled up her sleeve to show off the mark that had appeared on her forearm somewhere during the night.Nikki leaned forward to look at it, noticing that it looked like a wolf howling at the moon."It looks so nice, Luna." Nikki smiled at her.Scarlet returned her smile. She wasn't sure how she would have reacted after finding out."Ok, I need Elijah, Miley, and Kera to come with me. "You said that this place isn't like how it once was. What do you mean by that?" Miley grabbed a hold of Elijah's hand and pulled him away."Because Onyx stole the most important crystal from us," Elijah began to explain."How?" Miley asked."That's a good question," Carmela grumbled. They came to a halt in the town square where a large white fountain was running water."You have humans here." Horatio pointed out."Yes, our village is the only one where lores reside that borders the human world, so they come here to this place, which is like a tourist attraction for them. You visit the caves, get their future read and their wishes granted." Scarlet explained."That is so cool," Miley gushed."We are also the reason why you can easily travel between worlds. The fates trust us with that and a few more duties because of our good nature." Elijah smirked."Well, they have too much trust," Carmela mumbled. "And witches like you shouldn't even be trusted with this, because you gave some powe

"Relax, child, it is just a sign we used to keep intruders out. That's why we don't get many robberies, plus no one would dare to go against us." May smiled at Nikki, who was eyeing the large realistic drawing on the entrance of the cave. "Another question. I heard them saying that vampires live here as well. Is that true?" Nikki asked, still not recovering from her shock. "That is right. We do have vampires living here." May turned to Nikki with a dark look. "You best be careful with what you or anyone else say next because I don't take things lightly when it comes on to my family or anyone living in this village. And just know that just as how you have wolves who have gone rogue and are different from you, it's the same for witches and vampires." Nikki nodded and gulped, because the vibes she was getting from the older woman made it feel as if her soul was ready to run out of her body. "This is as far as the others can go, so if Scarlet doesn't want you to come stay here and don

Kera now had her attention back to the crystals. "Why do I feel like I'm being pulled towards this place?" She asked, placing a hand on the cave wall. May smiled at her. "Because you are a witch, and there might be a possibility that an ancestor of yours was one of us." "I doubt that. My mother died before she could teach me anything, and I'm pretty sure that my dad would have said something." Nikki scoffed. "Sorry to say this, but Matthew never told you anything, not even to use your powers. So I doubt he would tell you that you are a descendant of a powerful witch.'' Kera shrugged. "I doubt I am, anyway." "Enough chatting, we have somewhere to be," April said from where she sat on a blue rock. "Yes, we were getting sidetracked. Scarlet, Elijah, only you two can lead the way now. My sister made it so that even though we could enter, this is the furthest we can go in fear of one of us stealing the crystal and betraying them," May explained. "We have to stay close to them. "I still can't believe Lizzy was actually someone else. I don't know how it went by me,'' Elijah said. Scarlet turned her back on him because she wasn't up to talking about someone like that. "She pretended to be my brother's mate. I think that is just as bad," Nikki put in. "Yeah, I don't think anyone's experience with her is worse than the other. She played with everyone's mind either way, so let's not make this a competition, Nikki," Kera said while walking past her to enter the car. Nikki grumbled something under her breath before heading to the other car, where she sat in the back with her arm folded over her chest. As Scarlet sat in the front seat, waiting for Horatio to finish speaking with Vincent, her mind reeled and went back to a time that seemed so long ago. Scarlet woke early the following morning to get some work done. More Loreans had arrived during the night, and more were still coming. Horatio pulled Scarlet to him, then kissed the tip of her ears, which caused her to shiver. "Why are you up so early?" He asked. "Because I have to prepare for tomorrow. I want to make sure everyone is-" Horatio kissed her, cutting off her words. "You are such a distraction," Scarlet told him, then pulled him into another kiss. She finished getting dressed and left the room, where she made her way to where she heard Harlow and her mate talking. She knocked on the door lightly, only to hear complaining coming from inside. Scarlet practically had to rip Harlow away from Gore, while Alistair refused to leave his bride's side. "I'm sure October can take care of herself and doesn't need a bodyguard," Scarlet said. "Hey, May. Remember, you said an ancestor of mine might be from this clan? Is that why the cave allowed me to enter with you?" Kera asked. Those who were still stupid enough to run at her got blasted while her dragons had also changed into beings more malevolent, letting out purple and black fire, burning everything. When they got to the top of the hill, Kera gulped from beside Elijah, who was too engrossed by the strange glow the red moon cast down on them. I sat on the window seat looking outside; I remembered the rain falling hard that day and with it came this horrible feeling I have been feeling for to month now. Selina thought that we should go to the beach. It was her way of trying to cheer me up, but for whatever reason, I didn't want to leave the house, because my mind was telling me that something bad will happen. Selina left me alone after seeing that there was nothing she could do to cheer me up and I went to lie on my bed, thinking that sleep would help. But suddenly there came crashes and screams from downstairs, which I paid no attention to, thinking that it was just someone doing a spell because it was always like that there. We were crazy and always did experiments, so I lay there until a young witch by the name of Cari burst into the room. She was bloody and crying. I looked at her with wide eyes, but before I could go to her, a tall shadow appear in the doorway. The vampire grabbed her by the shoulder, then he bit
