Chapter 3- Encounter at super market

Circumstances in this world are very strange.

For example, when Arya was pursuing Jack, she was not sure how deep was her feelings for him.

It was just that she felt he was someone with good qualities, therefore, he would make a good partner, a good target, and a good candidate.

Perhaps at that time, the important point she focused on was making a breakthrough in the egoist unacceptable concept of a woman pursuing a man, or perhaps it was tension and stress that made her look forward to success and overlooked her feelings.

Anyway, when she felt hurt and decided not to force herself to do something that she was not capable of doing, strange things began to happen.

She thought she would hate Jack and very quickly would be able to forget him.

But she could not.

She missed him even more than when she was pursuing him.

She did not understand how her perverted heart came about.

In short, he was constantly lurking at the back of her mind and he would frequently and unconsciously appear in her mind.

She would always think of his smile, his many kinds of smiles......his gentle smiles, his cold smiles, his mischievous smiles, his funny smiles, his emotionless smiles, his hypocritical smiles, his arrogant smiles........ All his smiles were rich and it was easy to differentiate his smiles.

She did not look for him again, hiding away, and only thought of his smiles.

His smile was so captivating that her heart drums whenever she thinks of him.

Unfortunately, she could not remember some of the smiles on his face when they were talking.

She thought the reason she could not remember was that the man was not sincere towards her, so such detailed memories were not able to stay in her heart.

She was not clear how her heart felt about this matter but just the thoughts of this man would make her feel unhappy.

She told herself that her previous decisions were wrong and that making men like Jack Daniel her target was a mistake.

Although he is good-looking, he has a good job, and his personality seems to be good but both of them were not on the same path.

So that was why such an unfavorable situation was created.

As a modern woman, these kinds of illusions must be tossed aside and it was best to live her life to the fullest. She is not young anymore and she should look for a sincere and serious man.

She should look for a man who lives in the same world as her, a man who will stay with her and live a happy life with her. That day, Arya went shopping in the supermarket and met Jack.

She was shocked.

She had stayed in this neighborhood for so long and had come to this supermarket countless times, but she had never met hima.

After she had made up her mind never to see him again, why did she meet him here? Could there be really such a coincidence?

Arya decided to pretend she did not see him.

Quickly, she put two packets of instant noodles into her shopping cart, then hurriedly turned around and headed towards the cashier's counter.

Although she hurried off, she had seen Jack with his head bowed down in the cold storage zone selecting those ultra-expensive imported steaks in his shopping cart. there were also two cartons of premium eggs,

So two of them were really from two different worlds.

(Two different worlds here mean they are different in terms of status in society and financially.)

She never buys eggs in the supermarket.

The eggs in the supermarket were priced so high that for a carton of eggs here, she would be able to get three cartons in the common market.

As for the imported steaks, she had carefully read the labels on the plastic wrapping in the past. A thin piece of steak was able to sustain her food expenses for a whole week.

So, she really wanted to thank those nurses in the hospital.

They made her realize her difference from him, lest she continued to waste her youth and her energy.....

As she walked in a daze, it seems her shopping cart had crashed into something.

There was a sound of crashing.

As Arya looked up foolishly, toilet paper rolls which were stacked up like a hill came crashing down on her head. 

So embarrassing

Arya did not care about her pain.

Her first reaction was to steal a glance in the direction of Jack It was as she had expected.

He heard the commotion and looked in this direction.

She ducked her head into the heap of toilet paper. She had been shamed so many times in front of him and she did not want to add this incident to the long list.

Everyone came forward to help to pick up the toilet paper rolls.

Arya was wounded in the crowd of people that had gathered around and was thrown into confusion.

She stole another glance and it seems Jack had disappeared.

She breathed a sigh of relief and it seems he had not seen her.

Returning the pile of toilet paper to its original place, she turned around and headed toward the cashier's counter with the intention to pay and leave.

Just then, she saw a small child bending down to retrieve a roll of toilet paper that had rolled to the side and accidentally knocked his head into the waist of an old lady.

The knock was not hard but it was done.

The old lady was not big in stature but her voice was not small.

She scolded the small child ferociously.

The small child stood there foolishly and listened to her.

Arya pushed her shopping cart past them, she did not intend to interfere but however, but he did not see the small child's parents around. The old lady became angrier.

Arya took a few steps forward, could not stand it, and turned back to them.

"Auntie, does still hurts?"

"Nonsense, you can try getting knocked! Il-mannered child. Where are your eyes? I just don't know how your parents teach you. My waist is hurting!"

"Auntie, you have maintained yourself well. Your waist is so slim." The adjective that Arya had used made the old lady look at her in surprise

Arya sighed and quickly put back the money into her purse. Although the amount was not big but to really use the money in this way, she was really unwilling. She loved her money.

At the check-out point, she chose the cashier's counter that was at the furthest corner of the row.

Just as she was wondering what high-end goods was Jack selecting at the moment, suddenly her waist tightened and was touched lightly.

Arya turned around and looked back.

She saw Jack grinning at her with his mouth open displaying his white teeth "Such a coincidence."

Arya tried hard to control her facial expression and smiled at him. "Yes, such a coincidence. Is Dr. Daniel here to shop?

"Yes, I'm here to shop, not here to crash into toilet paper hill."

So he still saw everything.

Arya's face stiffened.

She did not want to deal with hypocrisy and simply turned her back to face him, pretending to seriously queue up.

She felt her waist tighten and was knocked again. "Arya, your waist is not so slim."

She did not turn her head and said. "Fortunately. Not being slim is also good."

"I think your health is quite good recently. It's a long time since I've not seen you in the hospital."

She pretended not to hear him, but her legs were short and her steps were slow.

Taking just a couple of steps, Jack was already beside her.

He smiled and said, "Arya, I would like to remind you that if you want to have your brain checked, there are two divisions, one is the Brain surgery department and the other is the Neurology department...but you're mistaken since you need to have your brain checked, you should go to the Psychiatry department. Registration fee is 5 dollars...I'll pay for you...how about it?"

How about it?

All she wants to do now is to poke his face, poke his smile with the noodles she bought, how about it?!

For the rest of that day, Arya was a mess.

She could not control her mind and kept thinking about Jack's smile all day.

She could not figure out how a man could smile so arrogantly and yet so handsomely.

Bastard! She should have really poked his face.
