In Ryan's eyes, Liam, being extremely busy, couldn't possibly have time to accompany Suzy for everything. He believed that part of their separation must have been due to Liam not being able to be there for Suzy all the time.

What he didn't know was that Liam used to put aside all his company matters and cancel morning meetings just to make breakfast for Suzy. Even now, he had rescheduled all his meetings online just to be in West City.

"She won't accept you," Liam said, seeing through Ryan as just another pursuer, much like himself, except Ryan could pursue her openly, while he had to do so secretly.
