Seeing Shane like that, Betty had no choice but to follow suit.

"Good! Well done! Gavin, pour them another round," Michael said, giving Gavin a knowing look, which he immediately understood.

Suzy was already starting to feel lightheaded. Not wanting Betty, a young woman, to get drunk as well, she quickly said, "Shane, Ryan just called me asking for a document. Take Betty and go back to the hotel to send it to him!"

"Miss Chase, I..."

"Go!" Suzy gave him a look, signaling him to take Betty away.

Shane had no choice but to follow her instructions and nodded. "Alright."

Suzy wasn't entirely neglecting her own safety. She planned to have Shane come back for her later, but for now, she needed to get Betty out of there.

She had just returned from the hospital; she couldn't afford to end up there again during a business trip!

As soon as the two left, Gavin and Michael began pouring drinks for Suzy even more frequently. She barely finished one glass before another was filled.
