Chapter 209: So Tiring to Be With You

Suzy looked utterly exhausted, the kind that suggested she couldn't bear to utter another word to him, not an act by any means.

In fact, she really wasn't in the mood to talk.

Her mother's funeral was set for three days later. With hardly any relatives or friends around, she didn't want Liam to know, so she planned to keep everything simple.

After she spoke, the room fell into dead silence again.

With a heavy heart, she looked up at Liam, this time without dodging his gaze, her eyes void of emotion. "Can you leave now?"

"Alright, I'll go. We'll talk more tomorrow."

"What's there to talk about? Haven't I made myself clear, Liam? I used to believe that being with you would pave the way for success, but now I've come to see how difficult your family can be. I can't tolerate their condescending behavior anymore; I don't want to be with you. Do you get it?"

Suzy knew if she merely said she was tired and wanted to break up, he wouldn't believe her, so she had to mix truth with lies.
