Chapter:50:A Call From Home:

After that day's work, Chloe went home and prepared a meal for Audrey in the kitchen. Right then, her phone rang in her pocket. She rubbed her palms against her apron before pulling it out and glanced at the screen, but her face fell when she saw the caller's ID. It was her stepmother.

“ Matilda!” she greeted her.

“I heard you were back” Matilda's voice was deep and quiet from the other side; she seems to be thinking of something else.

“Yes,” She replied as she ran her finger back and forth. She couldn't wait to get over this conversation already. She was certain that Maddie was the one who had informed her stepmother of it, she didn't know what she had said about her but it was probably good. That way she would be able to make things very clear to them.

“Why don't you move in since you're back here. How can you leave alone for such a long time?
