Danielle's POV

"Why the hell would you do something like that? They could have hurt you!" I shouted at Sam, scolding him for the stunt he pulled earlier.

He actually admitted to Brandon, that he was the one who suggested we both go to the bar to keep an eye on him and Misaki. Sam also admitted to tipping me off about her, and fleeing the bar, when I got drunk.

"His men barged into my apartment in the middle of the night. What was I supposed to do?" Sam rolled his eyes, massaging the back of his head with a towel.

"You deny it, Sam. You fucking tell them that you know nothing!" I argued, frustrated at how easy he was taking this whole thing.

"If I did that, they wouldn't believe. Besides, I instantly knew I'd get to see you again." He said, rendering me speechless.

Brandon had earlier stormed out of the room in anger, followed by his men. He said something about giving me and my friend some time to "catch up", even though he didn't like the idea.

"Sam...I ... I'm..." I struggled to fi

Brandon's POVJudging by how Sam walked out of the suite, I could tell he was upset. He wasn't even paying attention enough to see me, and I gave a signal to my men to keep an eye on him, as I went in to check on Danielle.Barging into our suite, I found her on the bed, sobbing into a pillow. I instantly realized that there might have been a heated argument between the two of them. I saw how hurt she was, and I decided that it'd be best if I gave her some space. I was pretty sure that I was the last person she wanted to be around, at the moment.I turned around to leave, but she instantly jerked up at the sound of me closing the door shut. "Brandon?" She called out, making me swear at myself internally. I should have been a little more quiet."Yes, mia cara?" I finally answered her, opening the door just enough for me to peek inside. Her stomach suddenly growled loudly, making her face turn red in embarrassment. My eyes widened, as I realized what was happening, and I was quickly ru

Danielle's POVThe loud clattering of an object from the living room, suddenly jerked me up from the bed. My eyes were wide open, and I was looking around the room in fear. The door suddenly swung open, and I instinctively tried to take cover under the sheets that smelled strongly of Brandon's cologne."Look who's finally awake!" He grinned, standing in the doorway. The memories of how I fell asleep in the first place, started coming back to me and I found myself struggling to hide my embarrassment. Brandon seemed to be finding everything amusing though."I want us to go somewhere tonight." He announced, making me look up at him with a confused frown. How long was I asleep for?Jumping off the bed, I ran towards the window to take a look. He wasn't joking about it being nightfall already.Brandon let out a chuckle from behind me, making me turn around to glare at him. "What's so funny? You couldn't at least, wake me up earlier?" I snapped at him."Relax! It's not like you had any spe

  • A Stripper's Nightmare   Dance

Danielle's POVI rolled my eyes, as Brandon took yet another call. It was like his 10th phone call tonight, and we hadn't even arrived at our destination yet. I was almost crying out in frustration, as he rambled on in some strange languages I'd never heard from him before. My poor ears could hardly take anymore of this assault. It wasn't even helping that I was sitting beside Brandon in the backseat of his limousine. He rarely ever uses this vehicle, and that made me excited about what the night had in store for us.I looked out the window, at the not so snowy streets of Vegas. It wasn't winter anymore, and more night activities were going on.I was already so lost in the view and my thoughts, completely drowning out Brandon's voice. I thought about my father, contemplating for a moment about whether to go visit him in prison. Memories of how things went last time, suddenly flooded my mind, discouraging me completely. I shouldn't even be thinking of him.Looking at Brandon now, I cou

Brandon's POVMy dance moves were really dusty and out of sync, but she didn't seem to care. From the looks of it, neither of us were good dancers, but Danielle seemed to enjoy when I twirled her around and threw her from one arm to another. Her giggles and laughter were like music to my ears, and I didn't mind listening to it all night. However, as much I wanted to loosen up and enjoy this beautiful evening with her, I couldn't shake off the feeling like something really bad was about to happen. After that night when we got ambushed by the Calaveros, I'd learnt to never doubt my instincts again. Whenever I felt like something was wrong, something was definitely wrong. My eyes scanned the dancefloor, as more couples seemed to be trooping in, making the space a little more crowded."Mr. Romano..." Danielle whispered seductively to me, slowly sliding her hand up my groin area. My eyes widened at her action."...you seem a little distracted, no?" She smirked up at me, while we still m

They really thought they had us cornered, and maybe I thought so too.Just as the female took a step towards me, another series of loud gunshots filled the air, and I watched her freeze for a moment, her eyes widening, as she inhaled sharply. Michael suddenly emerged, a gun in his hand. He was the one responsible for taking the shot.I watched her drop lifelessly to the ground, her body landing with a thud. Turning around, I noticed that her male partner was quickly making his way out of here, and I stood up immediately.Danielle was still unconscious in my arms, and just as Micheal was about to go in pursuit of the male, I stopped him."That one's mine!" I said, passing Danielle over to him."Take her out of here. I need to take care of this myself." I instructed him, as I took his gun from its holster. "Okay, boss!" Michael nodded in

Brandon's POV[Flashback- Years ago]I picked the wrong person to rob. I was new to this town, and that was the only way I could think of surviving. A veil was currently pulled over my head, and a gag in my mouth, as I was being dragged roughly, down a flight of stairs. I stumbled several times, as I was weak, hungry, scared and confused. The police were currently looking for me in Las Vegas, after I murdered that woman, and I was damn sure these men weren't the police. I kept struggling and trying to fight them off as much as I could, but I didn't really have much strength left. They suddenly threw me onto a hard surface, making me hit my head. I was so confused, because I couldn't really feel anything, not even my limbs. I was confused as to how I was even able to move them, and this would usually happen to me every once in a while, for weeks. One time, I was bleeding profusely from my right arm, as a result of being stabbed, but I really couldn't feel it.I sat up on the floor, fe

  • A Stripper's Nightmare   Made of iron

Danielle's POVI woke up without seeing Brandon around, and I was instantly beyond panicked. Michael had been "appointed" to watch over me, but at this point, I believe he was already tired of his job."Relax, Miss Danielle! He'll soon be back." Michael said again for like the hundredth time tonight. I was getting fed up and irritated at that answer.I knew what happened tonight, despite the fact that I was initially tipsy and blacked out for the most part, I remembered us being attacked.I remembered Brandon saving me from a bullet, and I still had the wound to prove it, although it had been treated.I didn't understand why I was back at the suite, while Brandon was out there with the people who tried to kill us. Was he...dead?I abruptly stood up from the sofa, causing Micheal to let out a frustrated groan. "Since you won't tell me where he is, you'll have to let me go look for him." I said to him, as he shook his head at me."Miss Danielle, it's too dangerous out there. I really c

  • A Stripper's Nightmare   Gratitude

Brandon's POVI had no intentions of staying in the same space with Danielle tonight, but I still couldn't help it. I was ashamed of myself, and felt very undeserving of the type of concern she was showing someone like me. She was a lot like her mother, and in that moment, I had no idea how to act around her.I did the only thing I knew how to do best, which was to appear tough and intimidating, but somehow, she was still able to see through me. She scared me and mesmerized me in such a way that I never thought was possible. I wasn't used to feeling that way about anybody, but then again, this was Danielle. When I returned to the suite, I found her fast asleep on a couch in the living room. She must have been there for a while, waiting for me to come back. I instantly felt bad for how I talked to her.Walking right to where she was lying, I brushed some tendrils of hair from her face, causing her to stir in her sleep. It was like her body responded to me, even in her unconscious state

He grinned sinisterly at me, before attempting to drag me off to the direction of their minivan.I started yelling, punching, kicking and scratching as much as I could, but it only seemed to anger him, as he kept tugging at my wrist. I let out a gasp, as a bullet suddenly went through his head, splattering blood all over my face. I watched him fall to the ground with a thud, and I turned around to look for who fired the shot. Why is it even a thing?I was suddenly dragged down from the vehicle I'd been boarding, and my eyes immediately started searching for Brandon. We were now on some sort of old, abandoned bridge, and armed Calaveros men were everywhere. I was yet to spot Brandon, even as Sam slowly emerged from behind me. He was shirtless, giving me a much clearer view of his tattoo adorned body. I glared at him."What's the matter, Dee? Nervous?" He smirked at me.I made a move to lunge at him with an attack, but one of his men was quick enough to hold me back, making me groan out in frustration."You won't get away with any of this. I'll never love you." I spat at him.For a moment, I thought I saw the old Sam, the one I'd always trusted. His eyes widened in an emotion that resembled... regret? He was however quick to get rid of the look, as soon as it came."This isn't about you, anymore." He seethed, tightening his hold on my neck again and dragging me along.I continued to struggle against his hold, as I we moved closer to the direction of the gunfight.Soon, we were in some sort of courtyard, which w
