Feelings
Ayla POV
I woke up scared, my body was aching, but it was unlike anything I'd ever felt, I could feel my heart beating, but it was heavier, more intense.
Then I feel two arms holding me and I focus my gaze, trying to understand what's happening, and part of me panics.
"Ayla! Take a deep breath." I heard Soren's voice and blinked a few times, seeing his face for the first time.
I start to do as he asks and my breathing slows down, as does the weight on my body, and a wave of relief takes over.
"That's it, little by little... It's me, Soren." His voice is softer, more melodious. Something I've noticed he always uses when he wants to calm me down.
"What happened?" I ask

Soren POVKeeping Ayla away from the Kingdom of the Wizards won't be that difficult, at least as far as I know, even though they're placing runes in specific places in the castle. During the two days that Ayla was resting, Victor, Ishtar and I went through the castle with a spell to identify magic and discovered four runes near the entrances to the imperial wing, which is where I stay, along with Victor and James.This obviously alerted the enemy and Ishtar said that there were probably more runes, but that they might have been deactivated since she couldn't locate the source of who had created the runes.At least for now, the wing we're in is free of outside magic, only mine and Ishtar's are here. Ayla POV - A week laterI'm looking out of the window, the night has just begun and yet the Castle hasn't been slept in, so now seeing the movement of people downstairs, I remember the times when I woke up early to work and went to bed late, sometimes I couldn't sleep at all.But here, in the Castle, the employees have a work schedule and this wing is pretty empty, and I understand, they want to protect me. Besides, it's really easy to talk to Charlotte, because she knows I'm Soren's mate.So we always discuss this question of how I feel and how I'm progressing and the division of things to do during the day is very balanced, in the morning I train for three hours then I have 30 minutes of rest and I go to my subjects class to continue my academic studies and in the afternoon I train with Ishtar.
