There was a week left until the wedding and Ava was working overtime trying to get Klaire and Casey to not see eye to eye. It wasn’t that she was hoping for a fight, but she was lowkey kind of hoping for one at the same time. It seemed like her power as a therapist to try and call off relationships was not working and so she needed to bring it on herder. Her target was mostly Casey since he was the one with the rationality in the relationship.
For Klaire, it was just Ava asking her if she was sure and if she was willing to take the chance again and risk it all, but Klaire was so far up in fantasy land that she would barely take in a word that Ava would say. Because Casey came back to her, she was over the moon that she had him once again and in her mind, she was probably thinking that she was practically invincible. It wasn’t that she was invincible, it was that Casey was just a weak man.
It didn’t have to be those harsh
Casey understood everything. But the embarrassment of breaking up with Klaire was worse than the embarrassment of staying with her. He understood the risk of being with Klaire and that he was shooting himself in the foot if he did get married to her. It honestly was barely about love now and was leaning more towards ego. There were unfortunately still feelings there, it would be hard to just get rid of them at the snap of his fingers, because if it were then he would have never gotten this far. But having to go back and face the music that he failed in the end and be the laughing stock of the internet was not something he wanted to go through. He was sure that him being ridiculed would have sort of an effect on his father’s business since he was only known because of it. He was sure no one would take him seriously anymore and now that he had pushed and pushed with his relationship with Klaire, he found like it was too far to go back, no matter how mu
Things got pretty heated very quickly and Casey was not complaining one bit. Soon enough, they were in her room and Ava was pressed up against the wall as Casey basically ate her face. He felt pent up and honestly desperate. He did not know why Ava had decided to not push him away but he went along with it. In all the times they had been here, it wasn’t like him and Klaire didn’t have sex, but there was an emptiness about it. Recently every time they did it, he felt like he was forcing it and he hated that. Sex was supposed to be a pleasurable experience and it felt like a chore every time he did it with Klaire. It just got old. The same way she would scream and practically rip out his hair as if she was having the best orgasm of her life. The fact that she frankly barely made him orgasm and also because she just became so boring and predictable. Like she was trying way too hard to seduce him and instead managed to turn him off.
The next day, Ava woke up and she remembered everything. She knew she was drunk but not to the point of wasted. Every action that took place the previous day was willing and consensual and she felt like complete shit because of it. Well of course she did, she had sex with one of her clients, and a client who was getting married no less. She had no idea what came over that day and why the fact that Casey kissed her suddenly sprung up in her mind but now there was no turning back from what she had done.Casey was gone, as one would expect. It was the morning of the wedding but Ava was in no rush to get up since it would be held in the evening. She wondered what was going through Klaire’s mind when she decided to have the bachelorette party the night before the wedding. But it was a relief that the wedding would not be in the morning or she would have surely missed it.She and Casey stayed up for most of the night, into the morning, she
It was understandable that Casey could not meet her eyes. She was not sure if it was because of guilt or just him trying not to get distracted by her. Ava didn’t think too much about it and went about the wedding as if she didn’t sleep with the groom. It was time for the wedding and people were filing into the hotel. Since there was an area just for weddings, it was designed perfectly to the image of whatever couple was getting married that day. There was white silk running through the middle of the room, being the aisle for Klaire to walk down. And on either side, there were round tables and chairs accompanying them. Each table decorated with flowers and having wine bottles and glasses. Ava knew that she would need to sip some wine in order to get through the wedding. She was just waiting for it all to be over. Now that she had done the unspeakable with Casey, she was looking to get on the next plane and run back to Los Angeles and forg
As soon as the wedding was over Ava was on the next plane back to Los Angeles. The immense relief she felt when the plane took off made her entire body slouch. She had been on edge since the wedding and her body had become so stiff because of it. For the rest of the time there, she did not speak to Casey, and after the wedding Klaire, and actually sent someone to find her so that she could make a toast at the dinner. Ava had never been more consumed with guilt than at that moment in her life. Klaire had thanked her for saving her relationship and wished that Ava could continue to help them in the future, and yet Ava slept with her husband. During Ava’s speech, she said that she was happy that she was able to witness such a lovely relationship flourish into a marriage and that she wished they would last forever and have wonderful children. Everyone knew that she was bullshitting but the speech was nice and so no one thought much about it. And it wasn’t lik
Casey had not stopped thinking about Ava. Even though he was on his romantic honeymoon in Greece. The skies and the beach were blue and he had Klaire with him, his wife. The wife he reluctantly married and wanted nothing more than to get rid of. The wife he was using to hold up his foolish image just to avoid embarrassment. Even though these were the thoughts going through his head, he still acted as if he was the happiest person in the world. But besides that, there were things he should be happy about. Aside from Klaire, he was in Greece and had the liberty to roam around freely without being stared at too much, and of course, the paparazzi were nowhere to be found. So he took it as a vacation and tried to enjoy it as much as he could. “Come on,” Klaire pulled his arm. “Let’s go there.” At the side of the road, they were walking down, there was a little jewelry stand that had probably been handcrafted. There were some
Casey could not get it up. Understandable. It was Klaire after all. He was honestly relieved, to be honest. But when it came to Klaire, it seemed to be the end of the world and he could see that she was probably on the verge of tears. The thing that was most pleasing about the situation was that Klaire seemed to think that it was her fault and not his. It was great that she didn’t try to push it on him because it definitely was her and would admit that, but he didn’t want to deal with becoming a widower only a couple of days after his marriage. Although that title didn't sound too bad. Klaire sat on the edge of the bed, with her back facing him as if she was feeling shameful and it was honestly sad. A lot of people assume that men leave the women they are seeing because they are not able to pleasure them sexually, and while that may be true in some cases, it is mostly because of the simple loss in interest that carried over into a loss of interest with that person.
Casey watched as Ava’s face morphed through many different emotions. At first, she was taken back, and disgusted, then angry, emotionless, and then angry again. “Casey Miller… you did not just utter those words to me.” her voice came out as soft a whisper as if she was having a hard time grasping what he had just told her. “I- I just- you make mefeelAva. You make me feel things that I didn’t know I could feel. Not after probably going emotionally and sexually numb because of Klaire.” Ava let out a huff and looked around as if scared that someone would hear them. She stepped out of the door frame and grabbed his arm, pulling him into the apartment. Once the door was closed, her back was to him. “Take off your shoes.” Once he had done so, he followed behind Ava closely, as if scared of getting lost in her nice apartment. It was clean, pristine, and sleek. He kind of
This is common for people who have had relatively lonely lives. They want love in any form they can get it and so when it comes knocking they immediately answer. Casey wanted Klaire because she loved him. Because she wanted him and he liked that she wanted him. But over time it became too much and he couldn't handle it and had thoughts of breaking it off. But not wanting to be alone, he tried to fix her. He didn't want to leave her.Casey is confused by what she says. He is denying everything but Ava can see it. She is confused as to why he did try to break up with her before when Klaire slapped her. He said that at that point he really was only thinking of getting away from her. He said that Klaire was suffocating and in that moment he was so angry that he didn't think ahead. But when she threatened to kill herself, he stayed with her.He tells her that he began to see all of her flaws as time passed and by the time of the wedding he was way past sick of her, but he did not want to b
After that day, Casey takes to trying to court Ava. She wonders why this appeared all of a sudden and wonders why he has this. She does not believe his feelings and continues to ignore his advances. Every time he appears at her door with floors or when he suddenly pops up when she is trying to live her life casually. She is afraid that the press will get wind of what he is doing and no matter how many times she tells Casey he does not listen to her.By his behavior, she assumes that he is trying to trap her. Get her in a difficult position and then expose her as someone who's trying to get with the person Klaire killed herself over. That is the only logical thing she can think of.Ava thinks that he is probably clinging to her because there is some essence of Klaire remaining on her since she was involved in their entire scandal. That's another theory she has. But whatever it is, she does not believe he has feelings for her.She follows news on him just so that he knows what he's up t
Three years go by and Ava has received a lot of help and has mostly gotten past everything that has happened. She has permanently stopped being a therapist because she still feels unworthy but now that she has been helped she's hoping she can find something to do with her life. The incident with Klaire and Casey has been long settled and people rarely bring it up. She still gets some stares in public but after a year the heavy hate she was getting decreased. Since Casey went missing three years ago no one has really been on their case anymore. A lot of people speculate he killed himself or he went into hiding as there would be the occasional person claiming they saw him with some blurred or potentially photoshopped picture to back them up. Ava is over it and since then she has learned to appreciate herself more and spend more time with herself.Ava goes out to the mall and shops for some essentials and on one of the TVs in the store she is in shows a news channel and there is a crowd
Horrified, Ava throws up on the spot. An overwhelming feeling of guilt builds inside of her. It's definitely her fault. She looks for more news about it and there is also news of a note she posted on her Instagram just a couple of hours after she was found dead. The letter is addressed to Casey and she basically states that even though she loved him he never fully loved her and that she dedicated so much of her time to him only for it all to fall apart. She says that she used the threat of killing herself in the past to keep him with her but it seemed he didn't care about her life because she was already dead because of him. She does not say Ava's name but addresses the 'homewrecking bitch' that came between them.Due to the shock of it all, Ava passes out. When she wakes up, she is in a hospital. Her friends came to check on her and found her passed out. They apologize for leaving her and explain that they needed time to process everything when the news broke out. They say that Klair
Ava would call what she and Casey did, a peaceful resolution. It was the end of their story and she hoped that this entire thing would just be done and over with. She was not expecting to meet with Casey again after that and hoped that their paths would not cross for the benefit of everyone. She just wished that he would not have to go through hell in order to divorce Klaire. She didn’t have work at the moment and she had returned to her apartment that day after meeting with Casey. Ava looked to focus on herself and grow as a person. There was no way that she would be able to gain redemption in the eyes of the public and that was not what she was looking for in the first place. If Ava could, she would rather have just disappeared and not come back for another couple of years. That night, she spent it contemplating everything she was doing with herself when she heard her doorbell ring. It was a mystery who it could have been but Ava had a couple of guesses. Maybe her friends were will
Once Casey and Ava were done with what they had to say, the million and one questions from the reporters came crashing down on them. It was hard for them to distinguish anything more than a couple of words. Casey tried his best to answer them. Ava did not feel qualified to answer anyone, so she moved more to the side and watched what Casey did. Once the crowd was able to be silenced, then they were able to actually hear what people had to say. They got questions along the lines of wondering if Casey dumped Klaire for Ava or what Ava was thinking when she held such a powerful position in their lives. After the press conference, there was a feeling of dread in Ava’s stomach that told her that what they did today did really nothing to help their cases. Ava was not sure why people would be sympathetic and understand where she was coming from. She did not expect them to. The ordeal was already trending online when she got home and once again she spent an unhealthy amount of time scrolli
Casey finally came up with an idea a couple of days later. Ava was not sure if it would make things better or worse but since it was the only thing they had and that it was better than just sitting around, she agreed. It was actually close to what Ava had thought of. Casey decided to call a press conference in the name of his father’s company to publicly apologize for the scandal. Ava was also to attend so that she could also apologize. It would not be announced that Ava was going to attend because she was definitely going to get killed before the event even took place.Based on what he had been telling her, Klaire had been back and forth between ignoring Casey, wanting to kill him, and begging for him to love her. She was a complete mess and Ava was sure that if she went to the press conference and saw her, s
“We really need to talk,” Casey said to her as he entered.“You think.”He walked for a bit and then stopped and looked back at her. “Klaire told me what she did to you. I'm so sorry. This really is all my fault. I should have listened to you when you said that being with Klaire was a mistake. I should have known that it would have blown up. And then to make things worse, I convinced you into a relationship with me.”Ava held up her hand. “I am just as responsible. Even more so since I’m the therapist here. I should have known better. Gosh, I should have known better. I’m sorry. I should have denied this. Doing this was never a good idea.”&ldqu
Two weeks passed. Two weeks of Ava lasting off of Zeeva’s cooking and groceries. Two weeks of pain and tears. Two weeks of not leaving her house and hating every moment of life. Two weeks before she had any contact from Casey.Casey: We need to speak. I’ll come by your apartment.Ava did not know what to expect and she did not know if him going to her was the best option but she knew that they needed to talk about what happened. They needed to do that at least once. She was not sure how he would be able to get him here, seeing as the paparazzi and Klaire’s army have not left her alone, but she was sure he would find a way.Besides the pictures of them fighting, there was nothing else from the two of them. After seeing the pictures, Ava wondered if Casey genuinely felt sorry for what he did. She knew that he still wanted Klaire to get help but she was not sure about his feel
