Isabella’s POV
After the whole ruckus, I was still in shock. I couldn’t believe what just happened. Why did I need to go through such harsh treatment just because I was given such a position without an interview? It was time for lunch, and everyone had already gone to the office restaurant to get something to eat, but I couldn’t go because I felt like I wouldn't be welcomed there. They won’t treat me well there. “Are you not going for lunch?” Anna asked. I paused what I was doing when she asked because I was really hungry but too scared to go there. “I still have a lot of work to do. I won’t be able to go today; I have a lot of work to do.” I said to her, trying to tell her that I won’t be joining them. When I noticed she wasn’t going to give up, I had to bring out the whole file that I was yet to take care of. “I’ll be on my way.” She said to me and excused herself, I just don’t know why I can never have peace. It’s either there’s one forcing herself to be close to me or the others that are treating me badly. The whole thing was making me regret my decision. ******* Third-person POV*** The school closed, and Pete was waiting for Patience to be done with her work because she’s the slow type; the homeroom teacher also waited for her. When Patience was done, she submitted her work and walked out of the classroom. “Why’s Mom not here yet?” Patience asked Pete curiously. Pete was also confused; they kept stretching their neck trying to see if they could sight their mom. But after waiting for a while, there was no sign of her coming. “You two are here; your mom requested that I take you home, but right now I don’t think that’ll be possible because I have somewhere urgent to be. Can you two find your way back to the house alone?” The homeroom teacher asked, and they both looked at each other before Pete nodded his head. “We will find our way home.” Pete said to the homeroom teacher, but Patience was not sure it was a good idea. “Thank you, I will be on my way now.” She said to them and hurried to stop a cab. Patience was mad at Pete for allowing them to go alone, but Pete thought that was the best option for them. “Why did you lie to her?” Patience? asked Pete angrily. She looked at his twin sister and softly tried to cover her face from the sun, so he placed his hand there to protect her. “Why can’t you answer me? You know very well that Mummy wouldn’t be happy about this.” Patience said to Pete, still sounding upset. “Can’t you see that Mummy is going through a very tough time? Making her worry should be the last thing we think about.” Pete said to Patience, and immediately Patience became mute. “We have walked home with Mom several times; we should be able to know the way home.” Pete added. “Still, we shouldn’t have let the homeroom teacher allow us to go alone.” Patience said, sounding like she was about to cry as the bullies in their school sighted them. Pete paused walking alongside his little twin sister. “Don’t be scared; I’ll make sure they don’t do anything to you.” Pete said with so much confidence as he was trying to shield his sister. “Look who’s here,” The bully said, and his crew laughed at the normal talk. “What do you want? Just leave us alone.” Patience said to him angrily. “Patience, don’t say anything.” Pete warned her almost immediately, and she listened to him by trying not to say anything. The bully finally got to where they were standing and even closer after hearing what Patience said. “You know we would have gotten along well if you didn’t do what you did that day in the classroom.” The bully (Chris) said to both of them, talking especially to Patience, that a few days ago he tried bullying a girl in their classroom, and Patience confidently stood up to defend the girl, which was completely unexpected from anyone, because they all know Chris and his crew to be troublesome. “If only you didn’t try to hurt a girl…” She suddenly remembered her brother warned her not to talk again, so she immediately controlled her tongue and didn’t say any more words after the few she already said. “Chris, can you please let us go? I know my sister has caused a little trouble, but can you let it go?” Pete begged politely. Chris laughed when he realized Pete was begging him; this is something he has always wanted from them, but it’ll be from Patience, not Chris. “Why? Are you scared I will punch your little sister's face? Wait… that reminds me, you two are twins. Is this some kind of twins system?” Chris asked, and his crew laughed as usual. Their laughter was even more annoying because nothing was funny, but they kept laughing like it was funny. “What’s so funny about what I just said?” Pete asked Chris and his boys angrily. “Ohhh, I’m scared, look… He’s trying to man up.” Chris said and moved closer to Pete. “Do you want to beat me?” He asked Pete. Pete didn’t want to get into trouble because it’ll only cause problems for his mom, and right now she’s going through enough already; adding to her problem would only be wicked of them. “Just let us go; you know we can’t win against five of you.” Pete said and tried to walk away. The moment he walked away, Chris raised his hand to punch Pete in the face, but unfortunately, he was stopped by a high schooler. “Wooh, what were you trying to do? Did you just try to hit him?” Pete turned back and saw what was going on. Chris clenched his teeth angrily because he failed this time, but he definitely won’t fail next time. He smiled and looked at Pete with a killer eye.Writer's POV It's been 2 weeks already since the police and everyone has been searching for Bella, but there is still no news about where she is. Tristan was going crazy. Andrew and his mom were doing their best to help Tristan search for Bella the best way they could; they had a feeling that Bella's kidnap had something to do with Victoria since she was the only one missing right now among the suspects. The police were doing double work in search of Victoria because she might really be holding Bella hostage. ******* That night when Bella was going to get something from the mall, Victoria's vehicle double-crossed her, and two men moved her from her car to Victoria's car. She tried to scream, but there was no one available there because it was raining, so she couldn't get help. The only thing Victoria has been requesting is the passcode to Tristan's accounts and the company's account as well because she knew that Tristan and Bella were getting married, and she probably know
Writer's POV Now the truth is finally out, and the kids are aware of who their biological father is. They assured Bella that they would remain with her no matter what the circumstance was because they had only been with each other for a long time, so that's how it's supposed to remain, or else Tristan is ready to join the family. “Good morning, Mommy.” They both greeted in unison as they got to the dining area excitedly. It's their last day of school, and they needed to say goodbye to their schoolmates because they will be leaving the country. They came up with the decision last night, and the kids were okay with it. Tristan already made plans for them over there. They will be staying at the house he stayed in when he was away from the country. Bella hoped that when she was done settling some things here, she would go there to join them, and just maybe Tristan would also join them over there. “My little angels.” Bella hugged them very tight, like she would never hug them again.
Writer's POV Anita realized that her picture had been uploaded too, which definitely means that she can't leave the house again like she does once in a while. She fell on the couch tiredly, feeling like it's over and it's time for both of them to give in. She raised her head to look at Victoria, and Victoria shook her head, still rejecting the idea of giving herself in to the police. Anita decided to call the police by herself so that they would know where she was by using a spam number. While she was making the phone call, Victoria ran out of the house, refusing to do the same thing that her mother did. She is not ready to go down, and if she must go down, Bella has to go down too. After some hours of calling the police, they finally arrived at the house with their cars surrounding the building, and the moment they opened the door, they saw Anita standing in front of the house with her hands stretched to be handcuffed. Another policeman went into the house to look for Victo
Writer's POV I was totally dumbfounded when I heard the question that my little daughter asked me. I couldn't believe that they would imagine such a thing, but I wouldn't blame them at the same time because I didn't explain the whole situation clearly to them, so it's normal for them to misunderstand what I was trying to say. “I did not have an affair with my sister's husband. Your dad and I were married before he left me for my sister. That is how he ended up getting married to my sister and divorcing me, so I didn't get the opportunity to tell him about your pregnancy. I was thrown out of the house, so I had to go stay with Grandma. When she died, I had to return, which is why we ended up here.” The kids looked shocked to hear what I said to them. It seemed totally unbelievable that my own sister got married to my ex-husband. “Aunt Victoria is your sister?” “Stepsister.” They both sat on the chair and turned to look at each other. I couldn't understand why both of them were s
Bella POV I didn't know what to say to Andrew when he finally saw my dad in the house. I thought he was asleep, which is why I didn't bother chasing him away immediately, but now that he finally knows that my dad is with me, I do not know how to react anymore. “What the hell are you doing here?” I asked him angrily and frustratedly because my biggest secret has finally been exposed, and now Andrew would want to get a testimony from my dad, which is something that I do not want to happen because of his health status. “I can't believe you will do such a thing, Bella. Your dad was in your house all along, and you didn't bother to tell me when you know that he is the key witness to what happened at my house.” “Andrew, what happened at your house is between you, Victoria, and Anita. My dad has nothing to do with it; as you can see, he doesn't look okay because he's just recovering, and I will not have you come here and ask him questions or invite the police here.” Andrew smirked
Isabella's POV Everything seemed to be going well in my life all of a sudden; it felt like my life had started from scratch and there was nothing like a horrible past. I have my dad, my kids, and then there is Tristan also. It felt like my life had suddenly become good and things were moving smoothly for me. I followed Tristan because he was really upset with me for keeping such important information away from him because if my dad wasn't found and he wasn't on the dining, he wouldn't have known that the reason why our relationship was kept secret is because of my dad. “I'm sorry, Tristan; I didn't know how to tell you because at that time Dad was nowhere to be found.” “That's my issue, so if your dad wasn't found, there is no possibility that we will be together in the end. It was always going to be a secret relationship till the very end.” “No, the truth was meant to come out eventually, and you’ll get to know the reason why I was actually keeping it a secret.” Tris
