Chapter 106

“Alpha Koa,” Cassius’ smile was nothing more than a stretch of lips and eyes filled with loathing.

“I hope I am not interrupting anything?” Koa asked without much care or regard for whether or not he was interrupting.

“He was just leaving.” I gave Cassius a pointed look and he laughed. A dry sound that was more of a pained squawk than an actual laugh.

“Yes, I was just leaving.” His gaze fell on me with a lingering stare.

It was satisfying. Eating my favourite food could never be this satisfying. Watching him crumble and come to beg just as I wanted was more fulfilling than anything I had ever done in my life. I wanted to kick my feet and squeal in amazement.

Life was too good these days. It was so good, it was almost suspicious.

“Be careful of this one, Alpha Koa.” My ears picked up Cassius’ low whisper to Koa as he walked past him. “She may seem sweet but that beautiful appearance hides a demon from the pits of Tartarus. One wrong move and she would not hesitate to destroy everything
