Chapter: 5

Just when they were about to run, both Julian and Simone began sniffing the air. There was a scent that took them out of their trance and they were walking around to find Julian walking in the left direction, while Simone was walking in the right direction, which left Logan standing in the middle, looking confused at both. Logan was in a trance, thinking how happy he was for his friends were about to find their mates “Mates” Logan came out of his thoughts when he heard both Julian and Simone speak; he turned to see that both Julian and Simone were looking at each other with their eyes being black.

Logan moves back while they walk toward each other, and their eyes turn around to normal. “So we are mates?” Simone stated.

“We are,” Julian responds.

“What do I smell like?” Simone asks.

“You smell like a cherry blossom tree,” Julian responded.

Simone uttered, “Before you ask, you smell like a pine tree.”

Both became silent for a bit until someone had to break the silence

“Congratulations, you two,” Logan said.

Julian grabbed Simone's hand and felt the sparks, and he brought her closer to him. And within minutes, a kiss broke out between both. The kissing was passionate that their tongues were locking with each other. They had to break the kiss to catch their breath.

“About time you two got together; I was wondering when it was going to happen,” Logan spoke.

“We were not in love with each other,” Simone responds with a red face.

“I agree with Simone; we were not interested in each other until now,” Julian responds.

“Sure, keep living in denial, Julian; you can’t tell me you didn’t have feelings for

Simone, I caught you eyeing her many times, and the same with you, Simone. You two are in so much denial of your feelings that a blind man can see through your lies,” Logan said, smiling at both.

All that Julian and Simone can do is blush with excitement; one thing that they both can agree on is that Logan was right. Julian and Simone are interested in each other, but they do not act on it because of their friendship. But most of all, they keep their hearts open for their mates. Simone looks over to Julian and utters, “Julian, I have feelings for you?”

Julian was caught off guard by Simone's statement that he thought who wouldn’t be attracted to her? As he stood there, Julian was admiring her beauty. Simone stood about 5’8 slim in the right places, with cinnamon brown hair, and her skin was like a mocha color, lips were thick and juicy, and a little pointed nose, but what Julian loved most about Simone was her baby blues eyes.

“Are you kidding me? You are so fucking beautiful; I can’t keep my eyes off you” Julian sighed.

“Simone, what do you like about me?” Julian asks.

“Julian, it’s not a surprise what I love about you is your green eyes cause every time I look into them, I get lost in them. But most of all your attractiveness brings out a better person in you, who is very lovable and kind no matter what” Simone stated.

Simone couldn’t help to resist the attraction she felt about Julian; he stood about 6’0 tall, medium built, had vanilla color skin, and long jet-black hair that came to his shoulders.

“Let’s go tell everybody the news,” Logan voiced.

“I still want to do this race; 'cause I’m going to win today,” Simone said, feeling confident.

“Ok, let's begin then” Julian responds.

“On the count of three,” Logan said.

They mind-linked saying “1, 2, 3,” and off they went shifting into their wolfs.

Everyone was so happy to hear the good news that Logan’s mother Lina, Julian’s mother Diane, and Simone’s mother Samantha, started getting together and planning the ceremony. “I’m glad that Julian and Simone are mates,” Eugene said while he and Logan were sitting in his office.

“I’m glad dad, and we can thank the moon goddess for that” Logan stated.

“Yeah, you are right Logan, I just hope that this good news will enlighten the situation between beta Mitchell and me,” Eugene stated.

“What do you mean by that, dad? “Logan asks, looking confused.

“Logan, there are things that you need to know when it comes to being an Alpha of the pack. There made come a time when you and your beta will disagree on certain things when it comes to the pack” Eugene sighed with a hand on his forehead.

Logan questioned, “What was it about?”

“Just a few things that were concerning the pack, I want to keep the pack the way it is, but Mitchell wants to take it in another direction,” Eugene sighed.

“Well dad, you have the upper hand because you are the alpha,” Logan expresses highly.

“That is true Logan, but you have to understand one thing we all play a part in this pack. Unlike other packs out there, this was not given to me by your grandfather. I, your mother, beta Mitchell, Gamma Ulysses, and their mates, all created this pack together. Did I ever tell you how we all met?” Eugene declared.

“Not that I can remember,” Logan stated.

“Well, let me tell you about it then, since you know that we all are Omegas, so allow me to begin right there. We were servants to this awful pack; the Alpha and Luna were ruthless, and sobs to us all. The alpha and the Luna had their around-the-clock servants; that was how I met your mother. I was the alpha, and she was Luna's servant. Your mom is a lovely person inside and out that lures me to her, and not just me but others as well. Your mother has this beauty that will light up the room, that is why every time the alpha, and the Luna have parties and invite other alphas all over. When they see your mother, they will fall to their knees wanting to seduce her and make her their mate. And this is what makes Luna very jealous of your mother that she will start to beat her. Luna was self-center and always craved attention no matter where she was. The Luna saw your mother as a threat because the alpha took an interest in your mother as well.

That one day, the alpha got aggressive and tried to rape her, and right at that very moment, your mother screamed to the point that she woke up my wolf. The only thing I could get out of him was “Mate” And that was when I grabbed a vase and hit the alpha on his head, of course, you know it did not faze him, and we both broke out into fighting. And of course, him being an alpha and me being an omega, he was stronger than me.

I got beaten badly, and so did mother by the Luna, because the alpha told lies about your mother, telling the Luna that she tries to seduce him. After that, they took us to his house in the back of the castle, this house was where they put all the disobedient omegas. It was about twenty of us, and that is how your mother and I met Mitchell, Ulysses, Samantha, and Diane. The condition in that place was horrible; they only fed us once a day, with bread and water. Two or three times a day, they will come and select one of us to the dungeon and beat us for about an hour or two. All of us could not take it anymore, so we all decided to leave the pack. That night came for us to go, but most of the omegas chose to back out because they were afraid of getting caught. There were only six of us that took a chance by running toward the woods. And thank god we were able to shift into our wolves. We ran and never look back, while on the run, that is when we found this place here. and from there, that's when we all decided to create our pack” Eugene said with a sigh of relief.

“So, how did you become Alpha?” Logan asked.

“That was easy; we flip a coin, and I won,” Eugene utters with a chuckle.

Logan chuckles a little, before implying “I hope you and Mitchell will work it out.”

“I hope so too Logan, I feel that we will; he can’t stay mad for too long; we've been friends for a long time,” Eugene stated.

“Logan let’s go and start celebrating; Julian and Simone become mates; after all, they are your best friends,” Eugene expresses, walking over to Logan. Logan nodded, and they both headed out of the office.
