TRAP, KEEP FEELING

Blood dripped onto the floor as I blinked a multiple times. The screeching sound of the chair caught my attention. “I’ll ask you one last time, who are you working for?” Edge asked pushing my face up with a knife.

Something about his eyes seemed dangerous, but not as dangerous as Hendrik’s. My eye suddenly caught sight of Andy standing beside the door. There was no sign of Hendrik, at least for the time being I could think of a way to escape.

“I already told you, I don’t know what you are talking about!” I yelled. “Please believe me!”

His hand moved closer to my face showing me a pack of black crystal on it.

“How do you explain this? This was found in your clothes,” Edge explained.

“N…”

The memory of their conversation a week ago talking about someone stealing their stuff came flooding in my mind.

THREE MONTHS LATEROPENING SEASONThe view of the white curtains swaying with the wind caught the attention of my barely opened eyes. Was I in heaven already? The tiny voices from behind the door which was a few meters away from me caught my ear. They seemed to be getting closer and closer. I slowly used my hands to sit upright, reviving the unbearable pain on my bandaged hands. In fact, my whole body ached and that was when I realized I had bandages all around my body. So, I was alive? The corner of my eye caught the sight of a familiar person resting her head on the edge of the bed caught my attention. Tears gathered in my eyes, it couldn’t be real. It had to be a dream. The door suddenly clicked open as our eyes met.The two cups of coffee on his hands went tumbling onto the floor, setting the one resting her head at the edge of my bed up. More tears came rolling down my bandaged face. Her warm e

RECONCILIATIONHendrik stood before me with Mesmick’s head on his hands. A loud laughter escaped his lips which sounded identical to Ten’s.“NO!” I yelled running toward him.Walls started closing in on us, until I could no longer see him. I rapidly peeled my eyes open gasping for air. I ran my eyes around the empty neat room. It had been a bad dream. My eye suddenly caught the sight of the few pictures hung on the broken dresser. Each picture reviving the memory of that moment. That is when I remembered that I had lost the picture with the four of us. To be honest I had thrown it after I had moved to the 36 street. It had suddenly caused me pain instead of comforting me.I moved my leg off the bed, pulled my crutches. I needed to go, I needed to find Kalo and Eight. I forced my body up but my weak body went tumbling onto the floor. I felt electric-shocks run on my body. A sharp scream shot out.

REUNITEThe warm rays penetrated through the bandages. My hands ran on the potted plant with the spinaches, my favorite. I loved eating spinaches. Especial with rice, it was my best. A knock on the door caught my attention. I quickly headed inside, heading to the front door.I pulled the open. Our eyes met. For a moment the world went to a stand steal.“J…Jack,” I struggled to talk.He hadn’t changed, that much, beside that he had a few additional earrings on his face, such as the nose ring.He embraced me. My grip on the crutches loosened.“I thought you were…”“Shh,” brushing his back.“It’s all my fault,” he said in hurt.“I found them,” my mouth blabbed. “I found Mesmick’s murderers,”I felt his body stiffen.“Di…Did they do this to you?” he finally asked.I didn’t answer only held on him even more tightly as I recalled Hendrik violently assaulting me with the stick surrounded

UNSETTLED FEELINGSI stared at the tap before me as my mother unwrapped the bandages around my chest. I felt the warm towel gentle wiping my aching back.“Umm,” I let out groan.“Almost done,” she said. She placed towel back on the sink beside her as she started rolling bandages around my chest. “Is it too tight?” she asked.“It’s fine,” I replied.“That’s good,” getting up, pulling the towel from behind the door. She started rolling me on it.“I’m going to work tomorrow, staying inside can be boring, you should come with me,” she proposed. “It could help you clear your mind,”“Okay,”“Great,” she said.To be honest I didn’t want to go out, I just wasn’t ready, not now. What if I bumped on my classmates?“Plot! Come help me here!” she yelled.A few minutes Plot appeared from the door. “I want to pick Siren,”“Okay,” placing my arm around his shoulder picking me up.His strength was q

YOUR PRESENCEI watched the few people entering the small Rush dry cleaning and washing Store, each carrying a basket of a different shade. The number of employees had increased from last time. There were three new girls which were helping around. One had curly ponytail, the second one had unkept hair that almost looked like mine and the third one had short hair. They didn’t seem to mind me, even with my bandages all over my body. In fact, they respected me.My hand pulled the ink pen and my mother’s diary, where she wrote everyone who had fetched their laundry, which was beside me.My week fingers held it poorly. Weekly I started doodling the old man who had just entered. He was bald, wore a nevy suit eating a doughnut. He was kind of funny, almost like a character in one of the books I had stolen from Sorrow Haze., called Mr. Panman. He too was a bald man who wears a suit, a conman to be exact.Well as growing up I had been in l

I notice she was watching me from the side of her eye.“Mind lighting for me?” I asked.“No mam,” she replied taking the cigarette and matchstick from my hand and lighting for me. “Here,”I took it and slid it inside my mouth.“Thank you,” I said. “You can now go, I’ll be fine alone,”“But mam…”“It’s Siren,” I corrected her. “Why do you even call me mam? HER STORYI slowly walked up the stairs, still recalling what Jack had told me. The loud yell was what got my attention. I quickly recognized the voice, it was definitely Miss. Claw. So, she was still alive. Each step the louder her voice became. What was up now? Probably she was fighting with someone, like she always did. My eye caught sight of haired man beating up Miss Claw inside her apartment.Blood covered her face, while she begged the man to stop.“WHERE IS MY FUCKIN MONEY BITCH?!” the muscular man asked.I watched people passing. They did nothing like always. I walked pass. She wasn’t a good person, she probably deserved it. Even have convinced myself I still couldn’t seem to really walk away, she was someone’s mother. She was Tydo’s mother, although Tydo and I hadn’t been in good terms I couldn’t help but feel guilty for his death.“IF YOU DON’T SPEAK I&rs

Yellow coat painter snapped before piercing another bullet on the wall. “This time I won’t miss.”The huge man walked out with his hands on up.“This ain’t over, I’ll be back,” he threatened. It was crazy how cute, rude, Miss. Yellow coat painter had became strong and ruthless. I had never imagine her pull out a pistol and pointed it at the huge man. For some reason I found myself thinking about Charlie. Had Hendrik really killed her or was he just scaring me?Guess nobody knew. I too didn't

Something about his eyes seemed shady. The footsteps approaching caught my attention as the cigarette on my hand dropped on the ground. It had to be him, Jack.A familiar face appeared instead of Jack. “shit,” I mumbled pulling my hoodie up.“Siren, what are you doing out here so late?” she asked, almost pulling out her pistol from her coat.Shit April had just saw me. I stared at the flying moth that was going round and round the light bulb. “If it wasn’t ’for that boy my daughter wouldn’t be here,” my mother said from the other side of the room.“Yeah, I sometimes wish I could see him, but the nurses said he never mentioned his name, he only dropped her near the hospital gate ,” Plot replied.“Do you think he was one of the kidnappers?” my mother asked.“I doubt,”I sat upright avoiding trying to ignore their conversation. My eyes stared at the smaller dresser which was a few meters from. The broken mirror with few photographs reminded of the day she broke it. How angry she had been that day and how much she had regretted breaking it. Her leg moved out the duvet cover. She placed it in the floor. Yep, I hadn’t stopped smokingThere she was, walking around her room carrying a basket. It was Apple, Apple Sun. It seemed like more than a year had passed since we had stood in this balcony together. How much amazed she was that day to see the view to her bedroom. “So you always see me?” he had asked. Before I knew it my mind was digging into the memory where she was dancing. How perfect her steps and turns had been. She had looked like a princess in a fairy tale. A true perfection. I still wondered why she never entered dome dance competition since she was really good in dancing, guess I too could draw but had never entered any drawing competitions let alone a competition of any sort.Maybe her dancing was the same as my drawing talent. I found my mind digg
