CHAPTER 72

AUDREY'S POV

When I opened my eyes, it was night already, and I figured it'd be time for dinner soon. Little Logan hadn't shown up today, so I assumed he probably spent the day with my mate.

My mate. I couldn't help but think about all that had happened this morning, while I proceeded to the bathroom for a bath. Were my actions right? Was I right to push him away? This was the first time he was trying to be intimate with me since I returned, and I had arrogantly pushed him away.

But still, he had no right addressing me in such a degrading manner. And why was he even trying to touch me, when Heather was still in the picture? I suddenly felt so angry all over again, and hurriedly finished up my business in the bathroom. I stepped out and went through my hygiene routine, applying so much moisturizer. It was a chilly weather, and it seemed like it may probably rain tonight.

Putting on my simple black gown that stopped mid thigh, I decided to let my hair fall freely tonight. P
