“You did well, Viktor,” Maxwell says as he stops by his car. “This trial has given Dominic the blow that we couldn't really achieve with the council meeting. This way, the packs would be wary of letting him get close to them.”

“I know but, we can't claim credit for that,” I tell him as I send a small smile towards Rowan who is by my side. “This opportunity just fell into our laps, all we did was take advantage of it.”

“Hmm, it seems like the goddess is on your side.”
