Chapter 926

Moonlight shone amidst the dark blue night. Sage turned her head and looked at the man beside her with slightly narrowed eyes.

"Jace," she called out to him.

Jace responded immediately, "Yes Sir!"

"Are you really drunk?"

Jace looked straight at her with his dark eyes. "I'm not drunk, Miss. I'm a good drinker. I can drink a lot."

Sage heard the same reply again. She sighed helplessly. If Jace said he was drunk, Sage could be sure that he was faking it. However, when he said he was not drunk in such a manner, it made others think that he was probably drunk.

She could not tell at all. Was he tricking her? Was he trying to muster his courage by acting drunk and asking her some questions that he would not usually ask?

Earlier, he asked her what did she thought about it. He was asking about his confession to her in the office the other day.

"I want to be with you and get married to you. I want to grow old together and stay with you forever. I'm serious!"
