People who did not know the ropes craned to see the owner of the necklace, but as Sage was seated beneath the dimmed lights, the crowd was only able to catch the vague form of her silhouette.

"The necklace… What in the world is a Columbian emerald? Why is it worth so much?"

Jace's gaze flickered to Sage. He recognized the necklace right away. It was the one she had worn during dinner.

Yoel seemed to have realized it too and said, "Eh, isn't that the necklace that Sage had on earlier? Wow, she offered the necklace for the auction just like that?"
