Chapter 598

Jace sat on the bench outside the ward. He was awake all night. The blue under-eye bag was showing on his face.

Yoel just had a phone call with his father. After a long explanation of the series of questions, he could finally retreat.

He strode over to Jace. "Why are you sitting outside? Didn't you bring the lunchboxes to eat with Sage?"

Jace's voice was raspy. "I'm not hungry."

Yoel glanced into the ward and understood. He snorted, "Why are you not hungry? Did they kick you out?"

"No." Jace grimaced, "I'll make the air tense inside."

"Right. Looking at you, I don't think Sage's brothers can eat."

Yoel laughed at his friend's misery from the bottom of his heart. As he sat down on one side of the bench, Jace suddenly got up without warning. Yoel almost tumbled over with the bench.
