She gave Nigel an understanding look and carried Puffy upstairs.

Nigel blushed. He watched as Sage went upstairs, then turned to Sean and bickered, "Sage is still around. Be mindful of your words…"

The night passed silently.

Sage got up and freshened up herself. Then, she walked downstairs with careful steps. She did not want to wake Nigel and Sean up and thought of making breakfast for them.

She was surprised to hear some noises in the kitchen as soon as she went downstairs. Sean was already up and was frying some eggs.

Sean heard the movement behind him and turned slightly. "You’re up so early?"

"Yeah. Good morning."

Sage greeted him and strode into the kitchen.

Sage had only seen Sean in the image of a lawyer in a suit. It was the first time seeing him in home clothes and an apron. Sean did not wear his glasses either. He looked very gentle in his homely appearance.

He skillfully put the fried eggs on the plate and asked Sage, "Did you sleep well last night?"
