Chapter 214

An abundance of rain poured down on Salem City.

Jace and his assistant Zayne were drenched to the skin. Zayne held an umbrella next to Jace, but he refused to be covered by it. Zayne was only able to block the wind for him, but unexpectedly, the wind was so strong that he wasn't able to keep his footing anymore.

“Mr. Yuriel, please get back into the car. The rain is too heavy!” Zayne was frustrated at his boss’ stubbornness. To him, safety always came first.

Jace’s face was solemn, and his body stood frozen. Deep down, he was struggling.

To be frank, Jace felt that being drenched by the rain was a stupid way to gain Sage’s attention, like some soap opera. He would much rather take a beating, but he had used that trick before.

However, Yoel told him, “Just trust me, Jace. I have been in more relationships than you. Girls are all soft-hearted; no one can resist a little romance in the rain. It might be a little outdated, but who cares? It’ll work.”
