"Alright," both Jace and Yoel said in unison as they went over to help set the table.

In an hour, Sage managed to make mac and cheese, braised ribs, grilled steaks, mashed potatoes, and crab cakes. Everything looked scrumptious.

"The fish stew will take a while longer. Let's just start now," Sage spoke as sweat dripped from her forehead. When Jace saw this, he took his handkerchief out and wanted to wipe it off for her. Her body froze, and she wanted to escape. Shaking the feeling off, Sage acted quickly, "I'll do it myself."

"Allow me," Jace held on her wrist with one hand and wiped her forehead with another. He was not happy about not being able to have her homecooked meal as dinner, but at the same time, he felt guilty because he witnessed her working so hard on this meal. He felt that he should not trouble her so much.

"Thank you for your hard work," said Jace. Sage felt a little astounded and waved his hand away saying, "It's just a meal. Not a big deal."
