To my shock, Liam O’Grady turned his smile on me but his eyes were …blazing.

I stiffened.

Job? I thought stupidly. What was he talking about?

Had he misunderstood me yesterday?

But my stepmother was gabbing away cheerfully, blissfully unaware of the tension in the room. But then, she was nicely drunk, I thought wearily.

Heather, whose hand he had been holding, clasped his with both her hands fervently, as she said, happily,

“Oh, Bianca, it’s your lucky phase now, don’t you think so dear!”

And she turned to O’Grady, still smiling benignly as she said, clucking her tongue at me with a mischievous smile,

“Just yesterday she had a job offer and she turned it down…the naughty little girl!”

I whipped my head around t give her a lethal look. Naughty girl indeed, I thought, fuming, and my anger shot up as I saw Liam O’ Grady smirking at me. Finn St Just gave an audible snort and I wanted to die of humiliation.

Suddenly Heather saw my expression and stopped. She had figured out, a little

  • A Pet for the Mafia Dons    Bianca: Saved

Bianca had thrown up all over the posh snow shoes of one of the men who had been trying to drag her away. the other man had stepped off, swearing at her. But she was too far gone. Weary, wretched and now, to be dragged away to die? At the hands of these two thugs? Her body rebelled, and she flayed her arms pathetically.Only the thought of her son made her put up a fight, weakened as she was.It made the man who was trying to hold her reach down to grip her arm and twist. The other man pulled her up, holding her in a bruising grip. Bianca raised her head and screamed, but all that came out was a mournful keening. And that was when she and her captors saw the large police cruiser speeding towards them, lights flashing blue and red, sirens screaming. With one last attempt to pull her away, the men gave up as the figure of a large, tall blonde man stepped out. barely bothering to slam his door shut, the tall, muscular figure moved forward purposefully, taking aim, and she heard her woul

  • A Pet for the Mafia Dons   Bianca: Woman In Danger!!!

Rudy was racing down the road, as fast as he could go in the driving snow. beside him, Lima O’Grady sat, his lips a white line, staring outside. His drink-addled brain had strangely enough, cleared as he realised the enormity of his blunder. Under his breath, he muttered, over and over,“Never again, I swear on all that’s holy, swear on Jaysus, I’ll never look at another woman…Sweet Jaysu, bring my Pet back to me…to us…”Rudy glanced at him and could not resist sneering. He had been given an outline about what had taken place, but with his keen observations, he had put two and two together easily.“Bit late in the day for that, eh, Irish?”The Irishman sent him a look that should have stunned him, but Rudy’s gaze was back on the road ahead as he skillfully manoeuvred the way , avoiding traffic, the sporadic cars and vehicles that were carefully moving in the snow-covered landscape.St Just was staring at the tracking device on his phone, which accurately recorded the movements on the

  • A Pet for the Mafia Dons   Bianca In Trouble

O’Grady flew down the corridor, barely aware of the throbbing in his jaw, where his brother had smashed his fist into his face. the Irishman was panicking.Liam O’Grady loved Bianca, no doubt about it at all. but in that dreadful moment, when that witch, Win Jeng had thrown herself upon him, he had succumbed. In his heart of hearts, he knew that it was because he had been fighting with his demons. Jealousy, because Bianca had so openly championed that lummox, Brick, who had the body of an Adonis…Now he spun his head as St just emerged, his face drawn.“She …she’s gone,” his brother panted, as he leaned against the wall, his voice rasping,“She took off…in the vehicle…Ah, F*CK you, Irish, F*ck you to hell, how could you, man, how…?”O’Grady wanted to sink to the floor and sob. But this was not the time for it, not the time for recriminations and unburdening of guilt. He picked up his phone and began to fumble as he scrolled down…*Bianca was having some difficulty in handling the lar

  • A Pet for the Mafia Dons    Bianca: Disllusioned

The sounds of the Casino were muted in this part of the building, the rooms housing O’Grady’s large glass covered offices. But time seemed to freeze for Bianca Cruz as she stopped in the doorway, the sight that met her eyes cutting sharp and cruel against the silence she carried with her. Full of disbelief, Bianca’s trembling brown gaze found him, her lover, her Master. Liam O’Grady. And she noted, with a dull , distant shock, that his hands were tangled in another woman’s hair, his lips hungry on hers.Wen Jing, she thought with an ache tearing through her sharply. the woman who had always seemed to be around O’Grady, hovering, like a moth…Bianca had stopped dead, her whole body jolting as if she had been struck, causing St Just, who had come in right behind her, to slam into her, grabbing her upper arms to steady her and himself. He let out a series of expletive as he saw what was happening. From a great distance, Bianca heard St Just calling her urgently,“PET! Bianca!!!”But fo

  • A Pet for the Mafia Dons   Trouble

Bianca had been fidgeting restlessly on the couch, moving to the window, to stare out at the black night unseeingly. It was snowing. A light snow, with a prediction of more to follow as the weather forecaster had declared helpfully. Wrapping her arms around her waist, she stood, waiting for O’Grady.St Just, who was doing his best to stay awake, studied the profile of their Pet, his heart aching for her. He would never tire of looking at her.St Just’s tawny eyes slid lovingly over the curve of her cheek, delicate, yet full of the quiet strength he knew she was capable of. The long lashes fluttered as she lifted her lids to stare outside; the slope of her nose, the curve of her full lips, and her cheek…She was like a porcelain statue, standing there, rigid with tension but so achingly beautiful, he felt his heart swell with love for Bianca. He loved her, he knew he loved her more than she loved him; but it was something he had grown to accept. Wen Bianca looked at the charming, rakis

  • A Pet for the Mafia Dons   Liam O'Grady tested?

Bianca had been alternately hurt and then angered by O’Grady’s remarks; she had stared after him, open-mouthed, as he strode off, the fury in his body evident as he walked away, ignoring baby Cian, who sat in his high chair, stretching out his arms to his parent. He had spoken in such an uncontrolled way, she told herself, biting back her tears as Syl raced out of the kitchen to scoop up the bewildered-looking infant, who sat, his lower lip trembling, preparing to burst into tears. Liam O’Grady had not just been hurtful, he had also been unfair, she thought righteously, trying to stem her sorrow at having been unfairly judged. Finn St Just, the more mature of the two siblings, had read the situation at once. He knew that deep down, O’Grady wondered if there would come a time when Bianca would fall out of love with them. Because Bianca Cruz was smart, beautiful and definitely more intelligent than the Irishman. She had brought in more profit at the Casinos than the Irishman had done
