Sam was already standing in front of Ian's mansion when she began to have second thoughts. I don't think this is right, she thought, Ian could be happy with his wife Amelia and his mother too could be getting better. Ian trudged into the house lazily. His mother was seated on the dinner table waiting for him patiently but as always, he'd come in late.
