CHAPTER 59

A plot

Amanda looked at the wounded werewolf with cold eyes.

“My granddaughter-in-law was hard to come by. Men in my family have a hard date with women. That boy finally brought a woman home and you tried to kill her. If you don’t tell me who put you up to this, we will be here all night,” Amanda said.

And it was a long night indeed. But Amanda got what she wanted. She looked at the half dead werewolf on the floor and started cleaning her hands.

When she was done, Amanda turned on her heel and strode out of the room, her footsteps echoing down the empty corridor. Once outside, she retrieved her phone from her pocket and dialed her son’s number. Nicholas answered after a few rings, his voice tense with anticipation.

“Mom? What did you find out?” he asked eagerly.

Amanda hesitated for a moment, the weight of her words settling heavily on her tongue. “It was April,” she finally replied, her tone cold and detached.
