William’s p.o.vIt has been a couple of days since Romeo’s birthday and after a multitude of setbacks it was finally the day of my product launch, a highly anticipated day and I wanted everything to go smoothly without any hiccups.I stood on the balcony taking a sip out of my mug filled with coffee. I had been up since dawn giving orders through my AirPods. Bailey and I had checked into the hotel the night before so I could be closer to the venue.“Good morning,” Bailey says as she walks out onto the balcony and stands beside me.“Morning,” I mumbled back, sparing her a side glance. She was dressed in one of the hotel’s white robes with thick socks on her feet. It wasn’t the first time I had seen her straight out of bed, but it was the first time I was taking note of the tiniest details about her like the way she yawned and stretched immediately after getting out of bed or the way she rubbed her eyes or scrunches up her nose.“Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something
The venue of the event was thankfully not too far from the hotel we were staying in. In under five minutes, we arrived at the venue and I was blown away by the beautiful decorations. Whoever did the decoration had certainly done a tremendous job.I took my spot beside William at the door as we welcomed the guests in like perfect hosts. I maintained a permanent smile on my face till that stage was over. After that, William and I got separated since he still had a lot of responsibilities to attend to.Finally, I stepped into the grand ballroom, the scene was nothing short of amazing. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling casting an ethereal glow on the guests. A waiter passed by me and I grabbed a champagne flute from the tray, downing the liquid as I surveyed the room filled with guests who hurdled in circles, discussing in hushed tones and sipping from their respective champagne flutes.A few feet away from where I stood, I spotted William and watched him with a sense of pride as he app
I stirred gently in my sleep as the burning rays of the sun peeked through the window, spilling its light onto the bed. I pressed a pillow on my face and let out a loud groan.“Argh! Why must William always lift the damn blinds before going to work?” I mumbled to myself, pushing the pillow aside, I sat up and rubbed my eyes groggily as I tried to get a read of the clock which showed a few minutes after nine.Yawning and stretching, I finally got out of bed to start my day. I spent the next twenty minutes showering and dressing up.“Good morning Bailey. How was your night?” Agatha asks as I walk into the kitchen, taking a seat on the stool and placing my head on the cold kitchen island.“You know, the usual. How was your night?” I asked as I watched her folding napkins.“It was nice. How was your trip? How did Williams' product launch event go? Did everything go right?” she inquires with concern as she stops folding the napkins and focuses her attention on me.“Ohh, it went Great, Agat
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking as I tried to get accustomed to where I was. Sitting up slowly, I yawned and ran my hands through my hair. I had somehow unintentionally fallen asleep on the balcony.I stood up, stretching my body as I felt discomfort from sleeping in an uncomfortable position for so long. I headed back into the room, locked the balcony doors, and glanced at the empty spot on the bed. My eyes slowly went over the empty room before finally landing on the clock. Why wasn’t William in bed at midnight? I thought worriedly as I stared at the bed. Maybe he was caught up with work and had lost track of time.First, I walked to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth before changing out of the clothes I had on, switching them for my comfortable pajamas.William still wasn’t back and for some weird reason, I was feeling quite uneasy. I paced back and forth in the room numerous times, waiting for him to walk through the doors but he didn’t. Maybe he lost track of time
“Well hello, Queen Bailey.” She answers, picking up.“I’m sorry, what?” I asked, momentarily forgetting the reason for my call as I laughed at her comment.“Yeah you heard me right, I saw your beautiful outfit for the Armani CO product launch.” She squealed, making a smile appear on my face.“Are you at work?” I asked, lazily dropping my back on the headboard.“No.” She answers dismissively. “I am not entirely sure what happened at the office but we were informed not to come to work today and tomorrow. And who am I to complain.”“Shayna, shouldn't you call your manager to inquire if everything is alright at the office so you can be certain it’s nothing to worry about,” I ask worriedly.“Relax Bailey, I can already visualize your eyebrows creasing. I doubt it’s anything serious since we were only given two days off.” She said, trying to put my mind at ease.I sighed, “If you say so.”“Yeah now enough talk about me, allow me to gush about the gown in peace.” She says and I giggle, shaki
I followed what Shayna said and gave him space, chunking the reason for his outburst due to maybe something going wrong at the office but I didn’t think it was that anymore. He had taken a whole 360 degrees, he didn’t talk to me nor glance my way, he kept his distance away from me and even closed from work later than he normally would. For the last couple of days, I had been spending more time in my room so I wouldn’t have to cross paths with him and get him angry. My waist was a bit better now, Agatha had helped me apply ointment for it. Now, it wasn’t discolored and the bump had reduced. I walked into the bathroom, stripping out of my pajamas as I walked under the shower head. I spent a while in the shower, I loved the feel of the warm water cascading down my body.Only when I noticed I was starting to prune did I turn the water off, I walked out of the shower and picked up my towel to dry my body before making my way to the closet to get dressed. I pull on a cute playsuit and use
After bawling my eyes out for God knows how long, I timidly got up, wiped my eyes, and tidied up the kitchen, I poured away the batter and washed the bowl and pan Mario had been using before exiting the kitchen, I walked over to his room and started removing all my belongings like he had asked me to do.I walked into my closet changing into a jean and a long-sleeve shirt.I was heartbroken and I needed to get away for a bit even if it was just a day so I could forget all that happened today. Deep down I knew it wasn’t possible to forget but I just had to leave.I picked up my bag, putting my phone and card in it before putting on my Crocs and exiting the house. I walked further down the road to the closest bus station which took me ten minutes with how slow I walked.I boarded the bus, tapping my bus card, and walking down the bus to a window seat at the back. The bus began moving as I rested my head and glanced out of the window.I alighted the bus at my stop and continued my walk to
I sat on the couch in the living room with a plate of toast as I scrolled through the TV stations in search of what to watch. Shayna was in her room working, she decided to spend the day with me but first she had to work for a couple of hours with her laptop first before she could do that. She walked out of her room door stretching as she came to flop on the couch beside me, I gave her a side glance “So, are you done?” “Yup.” She says stealing a piece of toast from my plate.“Hey!” I exclaimed, flicking her arm. “I made yours, they’re in the kitchen.”She groaned, throwing her head back as she munched on the toast. “You should have said that before I sat down. Now who’s going to go all the way to the kitchen to get them?” She asks, groaning again for emphasis.“You, obviously.” She narrows her eyes at my answer before finally getting up. “So unfair.” She whines walking to the kitchen and returning with her plate of toast.“So what's the plan for today?” I asked after swallowing the
