CHAPTER 104

Bailey's pov

In the three days that followed, I barely saw William at the house.

He shut himself in his study throughout that day and as Monday came around, he left for work even before I woke up and came back very late, later than his usual time, he was putting a lot of effort into avoiding me.

William stayed away from me, limiting the conversations between us both. I knew he was avoiding me because of the kiss we had almost shared but I compelled myself into believing he was just busier at work due to the launch preparation going on at the office.

He barely even spoke to anyone, on the few occasions I saw him, he would hurriedly pass by without saying a word and I didn’t like it one bit, it felt like we were going back to when I got here for the first time and the annoying part of it all was the fact that I couldn’t stop thinking about that moment that had occurred in the living room, the scene kept replaying in my head, haunting my thoughts even when my eyes were shut.
