Chapter 39: Our Time

Gabriel raised his eyebrow and shook his head. “Of course not. I’d say so if you did.” But then he grinned and stroked Rosalind’s cheek. “Miss me already, huh?”

She grimaced and touched her nape as she didn’t know what to say. “Well …. I wondered if you were already bored with me.” Her hand touched his chest. “I know it will be easy for you to find any women who want to spend the night with you.”

He smiled a little. “Not a chance, baby. I won’t be bored with you. Do you know why I didn’t make love to you last night?” He caressed her neck.

“If I knew, I wouldn’t ask.”

Gabriel said nothing for a while. His hand created a few small circles on her neck and then moved to her shoulder.

“Well?” She raised her eyebrow.

“Well, what?”

She pinched his stomach until he groaned and held her hand. He shook his head and sighed. “You are mean, my thorny Rose.”

“Because you pretend to forget what I want to know!” Her lips pouted, as she was too annoyed by Gabriel’s pretense.
