Chapter Fifty Seven: Confession

RUBY moaned when Adam snaked his tongue inside her mouth. She couldn’t control herself in responding to Adam’s kiss. She kissed him back with the same ferocity.

But when Adam’s hand started to move from her navel to her breast, she summoned her self-control and gently pushed him away from her. “Stop. Adam.” She said, turning away. "Let's talk first."

Adam hugged her from behind and whispered in her ear. "We can talk later." He started kissing her neck, causing her to push him away forcefully.

"No!" she faced him. "Adam, we have to talk! Don't you understand that?"

Adam's expression turned serious, and after a moment, he released her. "What do we need to talk about?"

She looked into his eyes. "Amethyst." She paused for a moment. "We need to talk about Amethyst."
