Chapter Fifty Nine: Can't Resist

RUBY woke up with the thought of kissing Adam but when she turned to him, he wasn’t there. Her face crumpled when she didn't see Adam beside her. Where on earth could that man have gone? Irritation coated her being. But the irritation she was feeling towards Adam slowly disappeared when she remembered the memory of what happened last night.

God, I can’t believe Adam proposed to me! She felt so giddy all of a sudden. She had a broad smile as she gazed into space, thinking about Adam's handsome face. She happily got up and fixed herself before leaving the room.

Upon stepping out of her bedroom, she quickly looked for her child. She found her in the dining room, eating breakfast. "Good morning, my angel!" she greeted her cheerfully.

"Good morning too, mommy," her child greeted her back with a smile.

“Hmm, mom, you look happy?” She smiled at her.

"Well, of course! We are finally here at your dad’s house. We’re happy together. So, mommy should be happy too, right?" She approac
