It took her some time to realize that she might have just made a costly mistake. Shocked, she sat up immediately and turned to see the other side of the bed but there was no one there.
What just happened though? She thought as she tried to convince herself that everything in her memory was true.
How and where was she going to search for him if she wanted to see him? She thought as she sighted a stain on the bedspread that was on the bed. That was a sign that she had just lost her precious virginity. Taking a deep breath, she opened the window very well to welcome the natural air that was longing to rush in through the hotel window.
Ethan!
That name came fresh in her memory. He had said his name was Ethan. She could never forget. She placed both hands on her face as she closed her eyes for some time.
She had just had a one-night stand.
But why does it feel so different? Wasn't it supposed to be simple? Why did she still feel that attraction towards this person? It felt as though he should come back and have her all to himself. She still wanted him. Badly!
She tried to get off the bed but immediately her feet touched the room floor, she felt something beneath her feet so she took her feet up to see and then spotted a small size of paper. She picked it up and froze.
It was actually a passport photograph. Ethan! He was the one! Her eyes glittered with hope as she got off the bed and rushed into the bathroom to clean up. After that, she came out with a white towel wrapped around her waist and sat on the bed. Obviously bored but the moment she turned her head, a smile appeared on her face as she spotted something that looked like a letter.
Had he dropped a letter for her? Did he hope to see her again? She thought and the moment she lifted it up, she saw stacks of cash.
What was the stack of cash for? She thought and read the letter.
She read; “Do not look for me! We are not of the same class. That money is yours, from me. Bye!”
Selene froze.
What does he mean though? They had beautiful times. She thought as she tried to control her thoughts. Pissed, she stood up and got dressed. Holding the passport photograph, the money, and the letter in her cloth pocket, she left the hotel room and managed to find her way back home.
When she got to the middle-class parts of the pack that she called home at that point in her life, she stopped for a moment before going into her house.
"I have been looking for you Selene. Hope you are well." Siarushed towards her, hugging her line she had gone missing for days.
"I'm sorry... I can't explain." Selene replied as she sat on her couch.
It was in a well-furnished apartment but the werewolves there were clearly middle-class and it was very different to where she had slept the night before.
The interior of the house was simple but clean and showed that there were valuable things in there. Sia was another werewolf she lived with. She had a history with Sia. Sia, her saviourlooked at her, feeling very thankful that she hadn't lost her one and only best friend, she had to take in that feel breath.
"I wonder what can't be explained. Either way, I made breakfast and I know you are famished. So now go have a cool bath and come join me in the dining room.
Without wanting to stress Sia further, Selene did as she was told and soon, she walked into the dining room with a fresh cloth on. Sitting in her free white gown, she watched Sia dish food for the both of them. She was acting like a sister who thought she had lost her twin but thank goodness it was just a thought.
They ate and soon they were in the sitting room, chilling while watching a movie they had been following up for a while.
"I had a one-night stand." Selene confessed to her best friend from the other side of the couch."
Sia froze.
One night stand?
Was that statement even in existence? She thought in her frozen state. It took her a while to be able to come back to herself.
"What do you mean girl?"
"I'm serious."
"No, you can't be. Do you know what that means?" she asked her as worry sipped into her blood.
"I guess I do but I still feel like I want more of him." she continued.
"More of him? Well, that's not a one-night stand then. Maybe he's a lover."
"I don't know him. I don't even know where he lives. He's a stranger but the feeling is different."
"Where did you guys meet?"
"At the field. In the woods."
"Last night was the full moon. I told you to come home earlier. Are you sure you weren't mated?"
"I don't know where it is but I just feel like I want more but I think it's different for him," she replied feeling sad.
"Girl you are tripping. Chill. I think it's just a fling. There's nothing serious there. Dada asked of you."
"What does he want?"
"no idea but how do you intend to tell him about this? You know he likes you."
"Well, I don't," Selene replied Sia as they kept watching the television.
Alpha Ethan sat on his office chair in his study room as he recalled the last night's incident. His body moved and it was evident that he still craved the body he touched the night before but there was no way to find her. His mother had warned him about leaving the pack on that day but he had not listened. Was this the reason?
He couldn't hold back as he had a feeling the night before that there was something special for him. He could scent the delicious fragrance of a woman and he had to follow it but that was because he had already gotten to the field while being so adventurous. He didn't know who to tell all he had in his mind but one thing was for sure, though she tasted good, she wasn't his class"What's the great Alpha Ethan doing, sitting on his chair and looking lost?" Bella asked as she walked into his office. She had this short blue gown worn, it had a turtle neck with short sleeves. Her pink eyes glistened as she looked at him. She could tell he was worried as she looked at him. She felt like she cared about him the most. She was the only cousin who chose to live in the same house with him but that was because she was the only one who could look him straight in the eyes and talk to him without feeling scared.Alpha Ethan looked up at her and couldn't help but smile. "I am fine. You should be in
She remembered where they had met and thought it would make sense to revisit the field. She couldn't really get the direction but at this point, she didn't care and just wanted to get there.Later that evening, Selene found herself in the same field again but this time, everything was different. She didn't sit and had to move all over to feel the atmosphere. The full moon was nowhere to be found and everything felt bland despite the beautiful field. After waiting for a very long time but couldn't get to see him, she stood up and left. She got back feeling very dull. This time no one could save her from it she got into her room and had it locked tightly, climbed her bed, and then brought out that passport photograph to look at it. She tried to figure out if she had ever seen his face but no matter how she looked at it, she was sure she had never seen him before.Tired, she thought about throwing the passport photograph away and forgetting about the one-night stand she had just had but
She can't let it ruin her. So what if he was an Alpha? She didn't see him as that when they were making love. He recalled the way he was handling her the night before. It was very gentle. He treated her like the woman she was and was more gentle and patient the moment he knew she was still a virgin. If he really wanted to desert her, why would he bother to touch her in the first place? What was he doing on the field? She had lots of questions all over her head as she struggled to come to a conclusion."Selene you should go to sleep okay," Sia said to Selene as it was already late."I don't care Sia I think I want to do this," she said out of nowhere."Selene it's obvious you aren't thinking straight. You know what? Stay in my room tonight. By the time you wake up, you will be fine." she said to her but Selene wouldn't listen."I want to see him. Since he is the Alpha, let's storm his palace. I just want to see him one more time. It doesn't matter." Selene insisted."Fine. How about we
Is this true?” Joe turned to the guard.“I don’t know, sir. She came in demanding to see the Alpha,” the guard responded, glancing nervously at Selene.“Please, it’s important. I need to speak with him,” Selene insisted, her eyes pleading.Beta Joe sighed, considering. “Stay here,” he commanded, then used the mind link to inform Ethan of the situation.A few moments later, Ethan appeared at the entrance, his imposing figure casting a long shadow. The guards and omegas instinctively stepped back, creating a path for him.“What’s all this commotion about?” Ethan’s voice was calm but authoritative.Selene’s heart raced. She stepped forward, her voice trembling. “Ethan, I need to talk to you.”Ethan’s eyes narrowed. “Selene, what are you doing here? This is not the place for such matters.”“I know, but I had to see you. I couldn’t wait,” she said, her voice breaking. “We need to talk about what happened that night.”Ethan’s expression softened slightly, but he maintained his composure. “T
As Selene and Sia drove away, the atmosphere in the palace remained tense. Ethan returned to his study, his mind swirling with thoughts of Selene and the unexpected confrontation. He knew this situation required careful handling. He needed to talk to Bella, his Beta and cousin, who had always been a trusted advisor.Bella entered the study a few minutes later, her expression serious. “Ethan, what happened? I heard there was quite a commotion.”Ethan sighed, rubbing his temples. “Selene showed up, demanding to see me.”Bella raised an eyebrow. “Selene? The woman from that night?”“Yes,” Ethan admitted, his voice heavy with resignation.Bella sat down across from him, her eyes narrowing. “What did she want?”“She wanted answers. She’s been restless since that night, and she needed to understand why I left her a letter and money,” Ethan explained, his voice betraying a hint of frustration.Bella frowned. “And what did you tell her?”“I tried to explain that it was a mistake, that I have
As Selene and Sia left the palace gates, the tension in the car was palpable. The driver, sensing the gravity of their mood, drove silently, glancing occasionally in the rearview mirror.Selene stared out the window, her thoughts swirling. “I can’t believe I actually saw him,” she finally said, breaking the silence.Sia sighed, her worry evident. “I can’t believe you pushed past the guards. That was reckless, Selene.”“I know,” Selene admitted, her voice soft. “But I had to see him. I needed to understand.”Sia shook her head, her expression a mix of concern and frustration. “And did you? Do you understand now?”Selene nodded slowly. “He’s conflicted. He didn’t expect any of this. I could see it in his eyes. He’s trying to protect the pack.”“And what about you?” Sia asked, her tone softer now. “What are you going to do?”“I don’t know,” Selene said, her voice trembling. “I feel something for him, but I don’t want to cause trouble for him or the pack.”Sia reached over and took Selene
Ethan sat in his study, staring out the window at the sprawling grounds of the palace. His thoughts were interrupted by the sight of a woman strolling through the garden below. She was one of the pack members, a healer named Lila, who had always caught his eye. Her grace and poise were captivating, and for a moment, he allowed himself to be lost in admiration.“Ethan,” Bella’s voice cut through his reverie, pulling him back to reality. She entered the room with a determined look. “We need to talk about Selene.”Ethan’s expression hardened. “There’s nothing to talk about, Bella. What happened with Selene was a one-time thing. It meant nothing.”Bella frowned, clearly not convinced. “It meant nothing? Ethan, she stormed the palace just to see you. You can’t dismiss her feelings like that.”He stood up, his frustration evident. “I don’t have time for this, Bella. I have responsibilities, a pack to lead. Selene is just a distraction.”Bella stepped closer, her eyes searching his. “You’re
As Selene's days grew more complicated, her body began to betray her secret. It started with nausea in the mornings, but soon she found herself rushing to the bathroom at all hours. The sickness was relentless, and it wasn't long before her parents noticed. One evening, as she sat at the dinner table, her mother’s concerned eyes met hers. “Selene, you haven’t been yourself lately. Are you feeling alright?”Selene hesitated, her fork hovering over her plate. “I’m fine, just a little tired,” she lied. Her father, always the more observant, narrowed his eyes. “This tiredness, is it why you’ve been so sick in the mornings?”Selene's heart pounded. She had hoped to keep her symptoms hidden until she figured things out with Ethan, but now it seemed impossible. She swallowed hard and nodded. Her mother’s face softened with worry. “Selene, if there’s something you need to tell us, you know we’re here for you.”But it was her father’s voice, stern and unyielding, that cut through the air. “Who
Ethan's resolve to protect his pack and maintain peace with the humans was tested in ways he couldn't have anticipated. As tensions escalated between the werewolves and humans, skirmishes became more frequent, each encounter leaving wounds—physical and emotional. One fateful night, Ethan led a scouting mission near the edge of their territory, hoping to gather intelligence on human movements. The air was thick with tension as they navigated through dense woods, wary of ambushes. Suddenly, the forest erupted in chaos as arrows flew from the shadows, catching them off guard.Bella, always at Ethan's side, took an arrow to her shoulder, grimacing in pain but staying on her feet. Ethan's heart clenched at the sight of her injured, his protective instincts roaring to life. He swiftly assessed the situation, barking orders to his pack members to cover their retreat. They fought fiercely, using their enhanced senses and agility to evade the human attackers. In the midst of the chaos, Ethan s
The walk back to their camp was somber. Henry carried Elizabeth's body with a mixture of reverence and sorrow, while Selene and Sia stayed close, their faces etched with grief. The witch followed silently, her presence a reminder of the power they had harnessed, but also of the price they had paid.As they reached the edge of their camp, the barrier shimmered briefly, acknowledging their return. Inside, the pack members who had stayed behind rushed to meet them, their expressions shifting from relief to sorrow as they saw Elizabeth's lifeless form.Henry laid Elizabeth gently on the ground, his hands lingering on her, as if reluctant to let go. "We will hold a ceremony to honor her," he said, his voice steady but laced with pain. "She deserves that and more."Selene knelt beside her mother, her hand resting on Elizabeth's still-warm skin. "I'm so sorry, Mom. I wish I could have saved you."Sia placed a comforting hand on Selene's shoulder. "You did everything you could, Selene. Elizab
---Ethan’s body shuddered as he leaned against the cold stone wall of his study. The isolation and stress were taking their toll, and he felt a fever building within him. His vision blurred, and he stumbled, catching himself on the edge of his desk. The sickness gnawed at his strength, weakening him in a way he hadn’t felt in years."Bella," he murmured, his voice barely a whisper. "I need Bella."Within minutes, Bella arrived, her face a mask of concern. "Ethan!" she exclaimed, rushing to his side. "You look terrible. What's happening?""It's...it's something inside me," Ethan said, his voice weak. "I can't fight it alone."Bella's eyes widened, recognizing the signs of a werewolf sickness, a rare but severe ailment. She called for Connor and the others, who quickly assembled in the study. "We need the werewolf treatment now," Bella ordered. "Bring the herbs and prepare the ritual."Connor nodded and hurried away, returning moments later with a small group carrying bowls of herbs, s
We need a barrier to protect our camp," Henry said as they approached the witch's dwelling deep in the forest. The witch, an old ally of the pack, greeted them with a knowing smile."I can create a barrier that will keep the humans out," she said, her voice a blend of wisdom and power. "But it will require a significant amount of energy.""Do whatever it takes," Henry insisted. "We can't let this happen again."The witch nodded and began her incantations, her hands weaving intricate patterns in the air. A shimmering barrier slowly enveloped the camp, its glow fading as it settled into place."This will protect you," the witch said, her eyes locking onto Henry's. "But I will come with you to face the hunters. My powers can dismantle their weapons and give you the advantage you need."Henry agreed, grateful for her support. With the barrier in place, they set out to find the hunters' hideout, determined to rescue Elizabeth. The witch's presence was a game-changer. As they neared the hun
As the dawn broke, they made their way back home, their hearts heavy but their spirits unbroken. The fight was far from over, and they were ready to face whatever came next to save Elizabeth. The next day, Selene felt a renewed sense of purpose. The pain of her mother's death and the sight of her wounded father fueled her resolve. She bandaged her arm and joined her best friend Sia and her father Henry, ready to avenge her mother and protect her family.Henry looked at his daughter, seeing the determination in her eyes. "We need reinforcements," he said. "The humans are too many and too well-armed.""I know a nearby pack," Sia said. "They owe us a favor. I’ll speak to them."Henry nodded. "Good. Selene, stay close. We can’t afford to lose anyone else."---Sia and Henry approached the nearby pack's territory cautiously. The alpha, a massive werewolf named Marcus, greeted them with a guarded expression. "Henry, Sia," Marcus acknowledged them with a nod. "What brings you here?""We nee
As the night wore on, the house was eerily quiet. The aftermath of the attack left the Reynolds' home in shambles, but the resolve of its inhabitants was unbroken. They gathered in the living room, strategizing their next move."We need to find out where they're taking Mom," Selene said, her voice steady despite the turmoil within her. "There has to be a way to track them."Henry nodded. "We'll start with the local hunters' network. They must have a base or a hideout nearby.""I'll reach out to some of our allies," Sia added. "There are packs who owe us favors. They might have information."Selene's eyes burned with determination. "We're not stopping until we bring her home."As the first light of dawn crept over the horizon, the Reynolds and Sia set their plan into motion, driven by a fierce love and an unbreakable bond. The hunters had taken Elizabeth, but they had underestimated the strength and resolve of the family they had torn apart. The fight was far from over, and Selene was
The moon cast a silver glow over the Reynolds' house as the family settled in for the night. Inside, the atmosphere was thick with unspoken tension. Selene's father, Henry, paced the living room, his thoughts troubled by the recent events. Elizabeth, her mother, tried to keep a brave face, but the worry lines etched into her features betrayed her inner turmoil.Selene lay in bed, her mind racing. She couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over her since her encounter with the hunter in the woods. She had let him go, but the look of hatred in his eyes haunted her. She felt her baby stir within her, a reminder of the life she was carrying and the danger they faced.A sudden crash from downstairs jolted her from her thoughts. Her heightened senses detected unfamiliar scents and the sound of footsteps. Selene's heart pounded as she leaped from her bed, shifting into her werewolf form. She moved silently down the hall, her claws barely making a sound on the wooden floor.Hen
Selene staggered back, the pain from the silver blade searing through her arm. The hunter's eyes widened in surprise as she shifted into her werewolf form, her transformation rapid and fierce. The primal power surged within her, giving her strength despite the pregnancy. The hunter recovered quickly, lunging at her again. Selene dodged, her reflexes sharp, and she countered with a swift swipe of her claws, knocking the blade from his hand. The hunter stumbled, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and determination. He grabbed a second weapon from his belt, but Selene was faster. She tackled him to the ground, pinning him beneath her.The hunter struggled, but Selene's strength was overwhelming. Her claws dug into his shoulders, and she growled menacingly, baring her fangs. "Why are you here?" she demanded, her voice a guttural snarl. The hunter's eyes flickered with defiance. "We came for the Alpha, to end his reign of terror. You're just another monster."Selene's anger flared, but she
