Chapter 4
GIDEON was talking to a middle-aged man. He used to have those long, rough beards, but Lyzza could no longer see it in him now. It was something that she always thought that made the man so manly and appealing that night.
But there was no doubt he was still cool in his man-bun.
His face was sporting a serious expression. His manly posture announced his dominance and power to everyone inside this place.
“Students, this way, please!”
Lyzza immediately looked away as she heard the announcement from someone she didn’t even bother to look at. Her female classmates also halted at the jaw-dropping scenery and giggled as they all moved away from the main entrance of the building.
“We will divide you into two groups. One of the groups will be interviewed by the CEO himself, and the rest will be interviewed by yours truly, the head of HR,” a woman announced in front of them. The woman was prim and proper. She looked like a strict professor at their university; the kind of old maiden professor who was ready to give her students a failing mark in her subject.
“By the way, my name is Hillary. Group yourselves now! I don’t care if you’ll no longer join some of your block mates.” The woman even made several claps.
“We’re in the same group, Lyz!” Quincy said with a small grin and moved beside her after she left the flock of their female classmates, keeping herself updated with all the gossip while they were inside the elevator. “We’re going to join the group that the CEO will interview!”
“Don’t you think being in that group would be too difficult for us?”
“That’s the point! We need to be in that boat. The harder it is, the greater would be our chance to give him a good impression!”
Lyzza just furrowed her brows at her. She even raised one of them since she knew the meaning of the sparks radiating in Quincy’s eyes.
“It’s because I heard the news, Lyz. The hunky guy who looked like a Greek God in the lobby was none other than the CEO himself! He’s such a stunner! My liver and gall bladder were still on cloud nine,” her friend said, almost wanting to sway on Lyzza’s arm while she was stomping her feet in happiness.
Lyzza’s mouth flew open and her eyes grew bigger in shock because of what Quincy said. “That man that we’re looking at earlier? He’s the CEO?”
Quincy grinned and teased her by poking Lyzza’s waist with her finger. “See? You were also looking at him. He’s handsome, right?”
“That was him?” she asked again, like a jammed CD, since her question wasn’t answered directly yet. Although she may have known the answer, she still wanted to confirm it with her.
“Yes, Lyz! That’s why I’m excited to be interviewed by him. I wanted to take a look at that Heaven-sent guy once again!”
Lyzza gently removed Quincy’s hand from hers. “N-no. I would want to be interviewed by the head of HR instead.”
She could not figure out why she instantly felt scared by the fact that she would be facing the man who bought her years ago.
“Huh? But why? Don’t even try to switch groups!” Quincy moved even closer to her. “Look at the Head of HR! She is too strict and looks like a professor who gives failing grades to her students,” she whispered in Lyzza’s ear.
She laughed faintly and nudged Quincy. “Minimize your voice. She might hear and fail you in the interview.”
Quincy laughed. “Absolutely. If I were to fail this interview, I might as well see that handsome guy in front of me.”
Lyzza was about to reply when Ms. Hillary suddenly cleared her throat, which made her firmly shut her mouth. That was when she noticed that everyone around them was already eyeing them indifferently.
“If the two of you still enjoy gossiping, the door is open. You can leave freely,” Ms. Hillary said sternly at them while raising an eyebrow.
Lyzza lowered her head in shame as she closed her eyes. This shouldn’t be the start of her first day.
“I’m so sorry,” she apologized shamefully.
“Well, you should be. And you, what’s your name?” The HR head asked Quincy Mae.
“Q-Quincy…”
“And you wish to be interviewed by the CEO, right?”
Quincy smiled widely. “Yes, Ma’am.”
“Then, you will be interviewed by me.”
“B-but—” Quincy was about to protest, but she was quickly cut off.
“No buts. If you want to protest, then I can directly give you a failure remark at this very moment!”
“Can I be interviewed by you instead, Ma’am?” Lyzza suddenly interrupted her.
However, instead of agreeing, the woman just shook her head. Ms. Hillary was scanning her from head to toe while adjusting her eyeglasses.
“No, you’re going to be interviewed by the CEO.”
They were left with no choice because the HR Head had already looked away and started to lead the students to the HR Department. Quincy and Lyzza just looked at each other.
Quincy frowned shyly at her and stomped her feet right from where she stood, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms across her chest.
“That Ms. Hillary is so annoying! Is she in her menopausal period or something? Hmp!”
“She is still young, though. She’s just a few years older than me,” Lyzza said.
Quincy stomped her feet again. “Ah, still! She still acts like she’s in her menopausal period.”
She was stunned as soon as her friend marched by, following the other students in her new group. Minutes later, she found herself sitting on one of the benches outside the Chief Executive’s office.
Lyzza knew that the air in that place was usually colder. However, she couldn’t find any words to explain why her hands and feet were literally freezing at that moment.
Was it due to the air condition or because she was freaking nervous?
She silently prayed that the man would not recognize her. It had been four years since that night happened, and she was sure that it would be too awkward for them to see each other again in case he was able to recognize her.
Worse, she was certainly sure that she would fail the interview.
“Ms. Lyzza Pacamara?”
Lyzza heard the voice of the male secretary of the CEO.
She wanted to raise her hand, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. Her chest tightened, and the aggressive beating of her heart was evident.
“Ms. Lyzza Pacamara? Is she here?” The secretary repeated.
It made her classmates look at her in confusion.
She swallowed the lump in her throat and forced herself to raise her right arm.
“T-That’s me…” she uttered.
The CEO’s secretary eyed her from head to toe, then his gaze went back to her face. After that, he smiled and opened the door for her so she could enter Gideon’s office.
“You are next. Mr. Gideon Vesarius is waiting for you,” he said, mentioning the full name of the man she wanted to avoid at all cost.
Even his full name had a different appeal to her…
The name Gideon sounded powerful and became perfectly dominating with a last name Vesarius. It was such an entrancing name for the owner of Vesarius Airlines.
Lyzza felt like shrinking in her place.
“T-thank you…” She muttered and meekly made her way inside the office.
“Good luck!” the secretary uttered to her as he went outside.
She felt as though her heart was about to escape right from her rib cage at any moment due to its loud beating.
It was beating erratically, making her breathless.
She lowered her head as she walked to the center aisle of the office and stopped in front of a huge office desk. She couldn’t raise her head. In her peripheral view, Lyzza could see the strong and huge figure of a man who was seated on a swivel chair across the desk.
She nervously played with her finger; head still focusing on the floor when she heard the man clear his throat.
“Introduce yourself, please,” ordered a familiar voice.
That voice was too familiar to her ear, mind, and overall system. Deep, dangerous, and sexy. His voice was very manly.
She gulped once again. If she were to count how many times she gulped that day, her fingers in one hand wouldn’t be enough to count it.
Lyzza played with her fingers for a couple of seconds until she was able to breath heavily. She raised her gaze and looked directly at him.
“M-my name is Lyzza Pacamara, sir,” she stuttered as she met those dangerous deep brown eyes.
She realized that there was something different about him now that she had seen him again this close after four long years.
His beard wasn’t there. That used to make everyone think he was a beggar. There was still a little stubble on his cheeks and jaw, which added to his oozing sex appeal. His hair was still in a man-bun, and there was no doubt he was still the ruggedly handsome man she met four years ago.
But now, he was in his suit and tie, inside his wide and luxurious office.
“Lyzza,” her name lingered on his lips. The way his mouth uttered her name made her feel goosebumps slowly running down her spine. It was like he was tasting her name using his sinful and sexy mouth.
She saw him taking a glimpse at her resume that was on his desk. It took at least a couple of seconds before he looked back at her.
‘Please don’t let him remember me,’ she silently prayed.
She really wanted to enter this company for her daughter’s sake—their daughter whom he didn’t know. Her prayer wouldn’t be answered if she could not concentrate just because of the man’s presence.
However, fate didn’t seem to like conniving with her now that Gideon was looking at her intently. He then put his elbows on top of the glass cover of his desk and intertwined his fingers.
“So, your name is Lyzza, huh?” Gideon Vesarius smirked like he was mocking her. “I thought it was Rona.”
“I don’t know what you are talking about, sir,” she lied on his face and eyed him head-on to prove her claim.
She chose to lie. It was as if she didn’t know about that one night they spent together.
Gideon’s forehead creased. His thick eyebrows were almost kissing each other because of what she said.
Lyzza almost stepped back when he stood up from his seat. But she mustered her courage not to do so. If she would step back and flinch at his mere movement, he would suspect that she was lying and trembling in fear.
He walked toward her, his gaze not even looking away. She just watched him walk in her direction and met his piercing gaze.
She acted so brave in front of him, but deep down she could feel that her knees wanted to quiver because of fear and mortification.
Gideon stopped right in front of her. And just like before, she felt small in front of him. He was literally towering over her. He was too tall and huge for a man. She had no idea how on earth she handled him that night, given his huge physique.
“You don’t know me. Is that what you’re trying to imply, Ms. Pacamara?” he gently asked, but she could sense the hint of disappointment in his deep voice.
“Well…” she began, spinning her lies inside her head. “I do know you since my classmates talked about you.”
“Why are you speaking so formally in front of me? Am I that old for you to do that, Ms. Pacamara?”
Lyzza licked her lower lip before she answered. “You are the CEO of Vesarius Airlines, sir, and you are older than me so with respect, I should be using formal sentences, yes.”
“I’m just thirty-three. Damn it!” He raised his voice.
She didn’t know if she was the only one he was shouting at since he even looked in a different direction. But since they were the only ones inside the office, she was definitely sure that she was the only one whom he was shouting at.
“Well, you’re still older than me, sir,” she answered.
She saw how his jaw clenched as he looked at her again. “And you said that you don’t know me,” he retorted.
“Yes, sir.”
“Playing innocent, huh?” He nodded repeatedly, as if he already knew what she was up to. That even tripled her nervousness.
“I’m not playing around, sir—”
“Four years ago, in the auction… at the hotel,” he interrupted her.
She absentmindedly held the hem of her skirt.
“I really don’t know what you’re talking about, sir.”
Why did he have to remind her of that?
“Then, seems to me that I have to make you remember,” he said in a husky voice. With that, he grabbed her waist and pulled her against his hard and muscled chest.
He held her cheek and before she could even make any reaction, his lips had already invaded hers. It sent her millions of bolts running inside her frail system because of that kiss. A kiss that shook her whole being.
Her eyes popped open, and the only thing that she did was to tightly hold on to the hem of her skirt, as if that was her only saving grace.
His lips moved, giving her hot kisses. He french kissed her, trying to get a response from her. But due to being shocked by his sudden action, she was not able to move.
She couldn’t kiss him back…
Then his pace changed. His kiss became more passionate seconds later. He was frustrated, and he almost swallowed her whole. When he lightly bit her lower lip, it was only then that her senses got back together.
Lyzza pushed him hard in the chest. She wanted to slap him, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t even find anger inside her chest—where there should be, at the very least.
Admit it or not, she couldn’t erase the fact that his kisses made her knees weak. She wanted to grip his shirt and loop her arms around his neck. She wanted to kiss him back just like she did that night.
Gideon grinned at her, tracing his lips with his thumb.
He then licked his lower lip.
“Now, you can’t deny it. I know it’s you; the same addictive strawberry perfume and the same taste on your lips that I once ravished,” he stated.
She felt the heat rising on the edge of her eyes.
Ravished? Did he think of her as a whore?
She opened her mouth and mustered all of her courage to stop her tears from falling.
“It was me,” she finally admitted. She thanked the heavens that her voice didn’t break. “Can we now proceed to my interview, Sir?”
She chose to put seriousness in her tone. Hell, Lyzza didn’t even bother to look at his face anymore. Instead, her gaze remained on his chest.
Thinking that he would not say a word anymore as he was silent for a moment, Lyzza could only inhale heavily. However, Gideon spoke after a while.
“You can go. You’re done.”
Her tears finally fell from her eyes as soon as she heard those words from him. She just chose to lower her head as a sign of respect and so he wouldn’t see her tears.
With a heavy heart, she walked away and exited his office.
She felt so low. She knew that she wouldn’t be accepted into that airline company. Gideon made her feel that a woman who sold her body just like her didn’t have any place here and was clearly not worthy of his time.
Wasn’t this the reason why he didn’t even interview her?
How heartless!
Chapter 5 GIDEON stared blankly at the closed door after Rona—Lyzza went out. His jaw clenched and he almost pulled his hair because of the woman’s actions toward him; the very same woman who has occupied his mind ever since he woke up from a coma four months ago, right after he purchased her that night. He came to that auction because of his friend’s influence, telling him to unwind more often. He was sent by that bastard friend of his, named Alejandro Almeradez. He was one of his best friends since they were in military school. He was on leave at that moment and was processing his divorce papers with his ex-wife. That slut of an ex-wife who wasn’t content in life and had the nerve to find another guy. Gideon used to think she was an angel because they had been in a relationship for one and a half years before they decided to get married. She acted demure in her external actions and through her appearance, but she was wild in bed; the reason why both of them reached two years, addi
Chapter 6“WHAT? You and Summer’s dad crossed paths again?”Jessica and Qyla asked in a literal synchronous way when they all got together in the evening at the bar where she used to work.“Do you really need to be in sync? Sure, say it louder,” she answered the two sarcastically. The two girls in front of her looked at each other, and when they returned their looks at her, they both laughed.“Sorry, we’re just surprised,” Qyla said as she filled her glass with a light alcoholic drink.Jessica shrugged and did the same thing. She even offered her a drink, which she declined.“You know, I don’t drink. I told my mother that I’d be home at 10 o’clock. I need to go home before the clock strikes ten. Summer will look for me,” she said, and took a sip of the soda she was enjoying at their table.Qyla nodded and tapped her shoulders while Jessica smiled at her.“Why?” she asked the two.“Having a child really matures a person, Sis,” Jessica answered. “You have matured a lot. It seems like yes
Chapter 7“MOMMY, I like that pencil case. It looks nice,” Summer spoke as the little girl looked up at her with her hands pointed to one of the mall stands with colorful pens and art supplies displayed on it.It was Sunday, and right after attending the worship service, Lyzza decided to take her daughter to the mall. No matter how hectic the time was, given the fact that she helped her mom with managing the store and she needed to study at the same time, she would always make sure that she’d have plenty of time to spend with her daughter at the end of the day.“Didn’t you have a new one already? You haven’t used that pencil case yet,” she answered strictly and looked down a bit to face the kid.“Yes, Mom.” Summer nodded. “But I like that pink one, Mommy. It looks so pretty.” Her daughter slightly pouted her lips and gave her the puppy-eyed look. Now, could somebody tell her how she could resist this cute little devil in front of her? However, she decided to be strict and chose to dis
“GIDEON, who’s that?” asked the lady with long and curly hair.Lyzza was able to successfully hide herself behind a huge shelf filled with display bags, only a few steps away from her daughter. She kept throwing glimpses to the scene in front of her while her heart races as a result of the nervousness she’s feeling.“What’s your name, baby girl?” she heard Gideon asking her daughter.“I’m Summer. Why didn’t you know my name? You are my dad.”“Daddy? Gideon, you have a child?”Gideon’s face was left with nothing but confusion as he stood right in front of Summer who was urrently looking up to face her dad.“No—I don’t know.”“Oh my…” The girl went on to face Summer and smiled. “Hi, baby. What’s your name?”“I’m Summer. What about you? We have the same eyes just like daddy.” She smirked.“Oh my God! Yes, we really do. You’re doomed, Gideon,” she jokingly teased her brother who couldn’t even move and think clearly. “Where’s your mom, baby Summer?”Summer’s eyes went huge, she just rememb
“Sir!”“Stop being so stubborn!” he hissed and deposited her in the passenger seat of the car.Right before she responds, he already closed the door without even having a word. Waiting for her to get a chance to speak, her eyes followed him while having his way to the other side of the car.He placed himself in the driver’s seat and started the engine of the car. He went back to the compound’s gate and immediately rushed the car on his way out.Her eyes grew larger and larger as soon as she saw some of her batch mates looking at the car. For sure they witnessed what happened a while ago. She won’t even get surprised once her name gets to be the center of the rumors tomorrow. It’s just 3 o’clock in the afternoon so the road isn’t congested yet. Gideon was driving the car more than its maximum speed. It’s as if he’s running after someone. She also noticed how tight Gideon holds the steering wheel which makes the veins in his hands look more prominent. He looks mad. If so, why would he b
Gideon tightens his grip on his steering wheel. He was clenching his jaw and doing his best to stop himself from taking a U turn and drive back to the jeep’s terminal and drag that woman to his car. He should be in the hospital at this point of time or in his office, working himself off with piles of paper that he needs to study and sign. His father was in the hospital. He had a minor attack yesterday. He and Carollete dragged themselves out of the mall and rushed to the hospital the minute his mother called. His father is already old, looking for a grandchild. It’s as if he thinks that kids could be born that easily. He’s having his meeting with the engineers and architects about the airport the father was planning to build years ago. They don’t have an airport yet built in Bicol— Camarines Sur, to be exact. That place has always been a good choice because of its high tourist demands and being the only working airport in the province would be beneficial for their business. According
Lyzza stared at the paper she’s holding where her new schedule is written. It’s only 5 o’clock in the morning when Ms. Helen informed her about the news of her sudden schedule change and that she needs to be in Vesarius Airlines at 6 o’clock to take the early flight to Davao. And now she stares blankly with the paper on her hand again because she had no idea that the schedule is for a private plane and not just a regular one. Most of all, the passenger on board is one of the VIPs so giving her best service is a must. She suddenly had the urge to scratch her eyebrows due to Ms. Helen’s quick and short notice. She doesn’t even have that much of an experience in the actual field and her training just got started. Where are the senior flight attendants? It’s only 6:15 in the morning when she checked her wristwatch. She gave Summer a tiny peck when she left and asked her mom to look after the kid while she’s away. Her original flight was scheduled at 8 o’clock in the morning, she never got
She saw Gideon’s lips move when he saw her. She stilled on her feet and unconsciously held the edge of the plane’s door.“Why is Sir Gideon here?” Ian whispered to the person beside him. She could feel how uncomfortable the man feels at the moment. She had no idea why he reacted this way when he saw the CEO, Gideon Vesarius. His unexpected visit seems to be the reason why Ian looks tense. He quickly went down the stairs so she immediately followed.“Good morning, Sir. The plane is ready,” Ian greeted and politely looked down as a sign of respect to the man in front of him.“Good morning, Sir.” She looked down while feeling a little uncomfortable as she sensed his eyes being glued to her direction again. He didn’t even bother to give Ian a tiny glance who greeted him first.“My things are in the compartment,” he said, which Ian understood immediately. He rushed his way to the rear side of the car and helped Gideon’s secretary gather all the luggage. She moved a few steps to help the tw
EXTRA CHAPTER 3The large front door of the mansion opened, and a familiar man with gray eyes came out."Man." Gideon nodded at him.The two hugged man-to-man before he waved three key cards like those seen in hotels."The house is ready. I already installed a security system throughout the mansion. The roof and walls are bulletproofed just like you like." He then looked at her and Summer too. "Welcome to Northsire Town.""Thanks, Cale. I owe you, man.""Daddy, I won. I won." A young boy ran out of the mansion carrying a tablet.Summer let go of her father's leg and raised an eyebrow when she saw Giovanni. The young boy was also surprised to see Summer, but he quickly rolled his eyes at her little girl.Summer's eyes shone with determination. Giovanni ignored her, and looked back at his father. "Daddy, I won the sniper duty. See, Daddy? I'm better than you."Lyzza laughed softly when she noticed Summer shamelessly peeking at Van's tablet. Her little girl looked like she wanted to gr
EXTRA CHAPTER 2"Do you know her? She's a senior flight attendant," she chattered as they got into the car."Yeah."She crossed her arms and scowled at him. "She's pretty."Lyzza didn't hear any response from her husband, and instead he started the car engine."So, she's pretty, right?"Gideon glanced at her and raised both eyebrows, annoying her.Unable to resist, she smacked him hard on the arm, but he didn't even flinch."Strawberry." His voice had a threatening tone, but it was still affectionate.Damn! He was teasing her and still being sweet! How could that be possible?"You're annoying! She's your mistress, right?" She accused him and pointed at him.He looked at her while slowing down the car until it came to a complete stop before they even left the Vesarius Airlines compound. She let out a scream when Gideon suddenly grabbed her waist and kissed her passionately."Hmp..." She tried to push him away. His kiss was intense, and she was getting excited again."Ouch!" she complai
EXTRA CHAPTER 1Lyzza ran towards Vesarius Airlines because she was already late for her first flight that morning. Emer and his companion, a guy named Paul with no eyebrows, were running after her."Ma'am, please don't run," Emer said like a worried father because of her stubbornness.Well, she couldn’t deny that she was really stubborn most of the time."I’m good. Stay there. Bye!" Lyzza shouted and managed to wave at them while pulling her suitcase. "Tell Gideon I’ll kick her ass when I get back."She chuckled as she left the two bodyguards outside, scratching their heads because they couldn't enter the boarding gate anymore. Ever since she remarried Gideon, she felt like a queen with bodyguards wherever she went.If it wasn't Emer and Paul guarding her, her husband was always trailing her like she was going to run away. Where could she go that he didn't know about? Gideon was really paranoid, even though he knew for himself that she was madly in love with him."Mrs. Vesarius!" Qui
EPILOGUEWatching his wife laugh with her friends, Gideon couldn’t help but smile at the scene in front of him. The way Lyzza laughed and teased her friends made his heart go into a summersault."Man, are you even listening?" Alejandro irritably asked him.He turned to look at him and just raised the corner of his lips upon seeing the annoyance on his face."What?""Fuck you!" Alejandro raised his middle finger. "I've been talking here for a while now."Riguel and Spiel, who were beside him, laughed. Annoyed, Alejandro stood up, took off his suit jacket, and threw it at him. Gideon quickly dodged it and threw it back at the asshole. He was annoyed as Alejandro locked his neck in his arm, like when they were still in military school. Riguel and Spiel chuckled as Gideon tried to remove Alejandro’s hand from his neck."Riguel, bud. Hold this bastard's hand. I'll kick his ass. This is my chance."And because Riguel was also a king of mischief, he stood up and followed what Alejandro said.
"Do you not have anything to say?" Gideon asked her as she only continued to stare at him, her eyes widening. She blinked slowly and closed her mouth. She pressed her palms against his chest to raise herself slightly."W-What did you say?" She couldn't believe it. The strong thumping of her heart was like a drum that deafened her.Gideon's face turned red, and despite her confused feelings, she couldn't help but chuckle."Are you blushing?"Her teasing remark made him blush even more, causing his ears and neck to turn red. He looked away from her, but his hand tightened around her waist."You're blushing," he said, trying to ease the tension with her laughter. She held his ears.Gideon almost jumped in surprise, which made her laugh even louder."Strawberry," he warned her. However, his authoritative tone did not deter her. She gasped as he tightened his grip on her waist, and in a blink of an eye, their positions changed. His large body pressed against hers while his hands captured h
Lyzza scratched Gideon's back when she reached her climax countless times that night. She was already exhausted, but Gideon continuously moved and thrust inside of her. Her lips would part every time he went deeper inside her, giving her a pleasure only her husband could provide. The delicious feeling of him inside her made her crazy. It was giving her an incredible sensation that felt like sending her to paradise—and only Gideon had the ability to make her feel that way. He was the only one."F*ck, f*cking delicious," Gideon cursed hoarsely as he moved above her. He thrust faster that she could feel her nails digging into his skin. She felt a familiar sensation in her abdomen and moaned his name as he hit her G-spot."Oh…Gideon," she moaned loudly, and she couldn’t recognize her voice. He hit her g-spot, which made her roll her eyes with so much pleasure. She bit her lower lip firmly when he went deeper inside of her again."You like that? Do you like it? F*ck, I love this so much,"
Lyzza peeked through the window when she heard a commotion downstairs. Someone was shouting at the gate, and the bodyguards were alerted. There was no one in the mansion but her and the servants. Her mother and Caius arrived at the penthouse a few days ago, and their eyes showed a mix of surprise and happiness upon seeing her again. Like Summer, her mother cried and hugged her tightly. She sobbed and kissed her face like a child. Caius, on the other hand, quietly cried when Lyzza hugged him.Afterwards, they went back to Vesarius Mansion. Mommy Gerona nearly fainted when she saw her again, and Carollete almost choked her when her sister-in-law hugged her tightly."Gideon Vesarius, come out! You killed my daughter," the man outside angrily shouted and tried to push through the bodyguards."Ester, who is outside?" she asked the passing butler.Ester approached her and took a peek. "Is that Mariz's father? Yes, that's him.""Mariz's father?" She was taken aback and stared at the man outs
"The report is with me, bud," Alejandro said as he opened the door. "The old woman and the neighbors confirmed that your wife was found by the seaside. She was asleep for a few months in the small hospital on the island. The old woman named Erlinda is a simple high school teacher, it’s understandable that she doesn’t have enough money to put your wife in the big and better hospital."Gideon took the folder that Alejandro handed him and read Lyzza's records in the small infirmary on the island. His suspicions were confirmed. She ended up on that island after falling off a cliff."She's here in Manila with the old woman's son. The name is Senen, and he is one of the representatives of the academic contest... something, I don’t know.""A man?" he asked bitterly. Of all the things Alejandro said, Lyzza's companion's name was the only thing that caught his attention."Yes, he’s currently staying at the hotel. Stop your sh*t ass from being jealous.""I'm not," he countered.Alejandro chuckl
After her CT scan, the doctor immediately read her test result. It was clear, and there were no problems found in her head. As the previous doctor who examined her on the island said, the blow to her head was the reason why she couldn't remember anything. Her memories will come back, and it will help if she's with the people who are a part of her life.Summer didn't leave her side, even when they were eating at an expensive restaurant in the city. The little girl sat on her lap and hugged her tightly. Lyzza, on the other hand, couldn’t help but kiss Summer’s hair, and if Gideon wasn't looking, she might have cried too.She missed Summer so much and wanted to shower her with kisses. But the man who wouldn't stop staring at her might notice.Lyzza thought it was fine; she'll just kiss her baby when Gideon is not around."Mommy, I love you. I miss you so much," Summer said in a sweet voice, kissing her on the cheek. She tried to hold back a big smile and returned the affection subtly. Sh
