69. Emma

Leaving Luc's house was hell.

I was lucky enough to be able to take a taxi to drop me off at home and when Alice opened the door, I couldn't resist as I felt her arms around me, trying to contain my suffering, but it was too late.

No one could stop what my lacerated heart felt.

"What's the matter, Emma?" Lilly asked anxiously, and I became aware of her presence.

"I couldn't stand it... I'm not that strong, I'm not.”

I sobbed without further ado, with a lot of hysteria, and she changed her position with Alice, so that she looked for a way to calm me down as she used to do when a crisis hit me hard. It was brutal to fall into such a bad and desperate situation.

"I'll kill him! This time I will," Alice said in a rage, and paced back and forth, still looking at me.

I hated that maelstrom of feelings; it was like going back to the bottom of the abyss.

It was Monday, after two weeks of thinking about myself.
