Chapter 2- New work, New life

I woke up at ten in the morning. My stomach is getting a little bloated.

I quickly got up to wash my face and gargle. I opened my refrigerator to see if I still had any food in stock. I saw bacon and eggs. I took them to cook.

After cooking, I take a glass, plate, spoon, and fork. I ate quietly and put my dishes in the kitchen sink. 

I glanced at the wall clock at 10:30 A.M. I'm not in the mood to go out, but I don't have any food in stock, so I have no choice but to get dressed.

I climbed out of my bed and got my clothes on. I chose the crop top and skinny jeans. I'm sexy and smooth in these outfits, so it's okay. 

I remembered that I also had to find a new job. So I picked up my cell phone that was on my table. I logged into my social media account and went through each hiring or vacant job listing one by one.

I continued browsing until I saw a post. I read it, and I smiled because this was the answer to my question. I wrote down the name of the hotel as well as its telephone number just in case I needed to.

I went outside and got in my car. I headed to SuperMall. I just parked for a while, and left right away. When I entered the mall, one of them checked the contents of my shoulder bag. When the guards finished inspecting me, they immediately let me in. 

I went straight to the shopping mall to buy stocks for home. I got a push cart to store my purchases. I also spent a few hours shopping until I paid the cashier with my card. When I finished shopping, I thought of going for a walk.

My legs were stuck in the women's sections. I even thought of buying my new blouses and, what do you know, I used my card again. When I got tired, I sat down for a while. 

Later, I also left the mall. I put the ones I bought in the car trunk. I quickly got into the car and started the engine. But because of the traffic, it took me three hours to get home. I couldn't find a short cut, so I put up with the traffic. 

One by one, I stacked my purchases. I also thought of taking a bath because I am also very viscous. I didn't bother to get clothes because I had a lot of clothes in the comfort room. 

I was drying my hair. I had just finished taking a bath. I sat down on the sofa for a while and picked up and opened my laptop. 

I sent my CV to the email I saw in the hiring post. I just hope that my prayer will be heard soon.

I signed out and put my laptop back in the room. I meditated on the terrace before falling asleep. 

The next morning, I woke up when my cell phone rang. I’m so excited because I have an interview tomorrow. I can't hide with the happiness I feel. 

Thank you, Lord! And please accept my apologies...

It's still early, so I jogged first. I toured our entire subdivision, and when I got tired, I returned home right away. I was bored while eating breakfast, and wanted to push the time to eleven o'clock. 

I leaned on the sofa after I finished eating, and I didn't realize that I was asleep. I almost sneered in annoyance because I woke up at twelve o'clock in the afternoon. My interview is at 1 p.m. I have one hour left. 

I took a quick shower and got dressed. I looked at myself in the mirror and was satisfied with my look. 

I got in my car and started the engine. I arrived in Makati at the time. I can see the height of this building, and can't help but think that maybe the owner of this hotel is wealthy, old, and decrepit.

When I entered the room, the guard assisted me to which floor is helding the interview. I immediately thanked him, and said my goodbye.

I took the elevator and saw in the wall design the indicated ‘Forrester’. It was made of wood carving. My heart was pounding… and I didn’t know why. 

What’s with this Surname? 

I knocked on the door, and I heard someone talking. One is a woman and the other is a man. I guessed they are about my age as well. 

I accidentally saw what they were doing inside. And I apologized for what I saw. I wondered why it had to be done in such places, like an office!

The man ordered his flirtatious woman to come out for a while, and made me sit down. During this interview, I was still not comfortable with what I saw. 

He noticed that my face was uncomfortable. "Forget what you saw a while ago," he said. 

I simply nodded my head as a sign that it was okay. After a while, he suddenly spoke again. “Ms. Andrea. You're hired… and you can start by tomorrow for the position of manager. Congratulations." He offered me his right hand as a sign that he was greeting me.

My eyes widened but I immediately reached out my hand. He shook hands with me, and I was surprised when he suddenly squeezed my hand. 

I was a little disgusted with what he did. "Sir, my hand..." 

He immediately got what I wanted to convey, so he also let go of my hand. I thanked him.

He nodded his head and looked back at his laptop again. "Can you close the door, Ms. Andrea? Thank you and see you tomorrow," he said politely. 

I closed the door and quickly took the elevator. When I came out of that building, I couldn't explain my emissions. I used to have mixed excitement and now it's just pure joy. 

“Thank God… I have a job now,” I whispered.
