Sarah heard the sound of a car entering into the compound and looked out through the transparent sliding door to see if Richard had returned. It wasn't Richard but Mrs. Harriet. She stood up at once to receive her mother in law. She hadn't seen Mrs. Harriet for a long time now so she was naturally very happy to see her. Mrs. Harriet rushed inside in long strides.
"Come here my daughter," she said when she entered the living room. Sarah walked to her and she hugged Sarah tightly.
"I knew you wouldn't disappoint me. I just knew that you wouldn't run away with another man when my supposed son's body hadn't been buried yet. Who would have thought that the man with you in those pictures is actually
The next morning, Sarah woke up very early. Since everything had returned to normal, she couldn't wait to resume work anymore. She had missed her new job so much and was exceptionally happy this morning as she cheerfully prepared for work. After taking her breakfast, she grabbed her bag and was about to dash out when Richard stopped her."I'll drop you," he said as he stood up too. Sarah frowned slightly and said,"Aren't you going to work too? You'll be late if you drop me before going. Don't worry about me, just go ahead, I'll take a cab," she said convincingly and was about to run out when Richard grabbed her hand.
"How long have you stood there? How were you able to understand the situation that well? Perhaps, you heard our conversations right?" Richard asked."No, I didn't. I walked in immediately after I arrived. I could tell what Kimara was up to by her expressions. It was obvious that she wanted me to believe that you were both doing something intimate before I came in but I'm not as gullible as she's. I'm a seasoned detective, remember?"Sarah responded, smiling broadly.Richard didn't say anything immediately. He gave Sarah a melting kiss and said,&n
A black Ferrari pulled over inside the Wilson industry and a young man dressed in a white t-shirt, a flowered shorts and a white canvas alighted from the car and walked straight to the tall building. One could tell from his appearance that he was rebellious in nature and was from a very wealthy family. Kate stepped out of her car around the time that the young and polished man that appeared to have a strong taste for fashion, was making his way towards the office. He looked very familiar but Kate couldn't remember where she had seen him before. The two receptionists lost themselves while staring at the handsome man before them. They were used to seeing only overly serious-minded men, clad in suits walking around here. This was the firs
Richard studied the duo for a moment. He straightened up and said,"Since both of you are attracted to each other, you can both leave my office now. Go somewhere else and plan your wedding. Let me know when you pick a date, I'll take care of all expenses and prepare a huge dowry for her,"This brought Kate back to the present. Her face turned scarlet from embarrassment. She quickly looked away from Carson and retorted,"Whose wedding are you talking about? Since when did you learn to make expensive jokes?"Richard didn't reply to Kate. He gave Carson a warning gaze.&n
It was almost 6:40pm when they finished shopping. Although Sarah wanted to buy only a few items, in the end, she bought a lot more than she wanted to buy. Since she needed to drop Daisy, Sarah planned to drop the items she had bought first so Clara could make use of the fresh vegetables in preparing a nice soup before Richard returned from work then drop Daisy later. As Sarah drove into the villa, she saw the car that Richard had left the in the morning with, parked inside the garage. This meant that he had returned already and that he wouldn't be going out anymore. Sarah looked around and saw a white Ferrari parked at the far end, though outside the garage. They had a visitor? Who could that be? If only Richard informed her earlier that they would be having a visitor, she would have
Sarah drove back to the villa immediately after dropping Daisy. The white Ferrari was no longer there.'It seems Carson has left. Why did he leave so quickly?' Sarah said to herself before entering inside.Richard was working in his study. Sometimes, he would bring some of his work home when there were so many things to take care of in the office. He always tried to come home as early as possible these days.Sarah didn't knock when she got to the study room. She slowly pushed the door to the study open and walked inside with light steps so as not to disturb him. She would just take a look first. If Richard was very busy and didn't want to be disturbed, she would leave.R
On Wednesday morning, Richard left the country with some of his bodyguards, in his private jet for the business meeting but not without specifically instructing the guards in the villa to take care of Sarah and inform him if there was any problem.Because Richard arrived in China earlier than he expected, he instructed Kelly to move the meeting that was scheduled to hold on Friday to Thursday. Kelly quickly disseminated the information and the meeting was moved down to Thursday. On Thursday evening, Sarah and Daisy left together after work and to a popular clothes store to check out the dresses they would be wearing to the party with the guards trailing along. Sarah didn't try to stop the guards from following them as it didn't matter if they saw her shopping for clothes.
Because Samson was here, many of his friends gathered around the table too. Some had initially come to say one or two things to him but after seeing the two beauties at the table, they drew some seats out and sat down. In the end, What Sarah and Daisy had initially planned to be simple, turned out to be so festive. They all began to drink and chat merrily.Daisy's boss, Tyler, walked over to them, dressed in a plain suit that accentuated his fine physique, one hand in the pocket of his trousers. His hair was neatly trimmed and brushed backwards. He looked so captivating. Daisy made eye contact with Sarah and Sarah understood the message immediately. This was her boss, Tyler. The person that Daisy had been secretly crushing on. Well, he was worth the candle after all. He looked very polish
