The Next Ball

“Axel.” Lily called as they entered the elevator.

“Yeah?” He asked and turned to her.

“What is with the sudden rush? Are you trying to avoid my question?” She asked.

“What would you like to have? I am thinking we should go to a fast food restaurant.” He replied, ignoring her question. Lily sighed and decided to drop the question. He was obviously avoiding it.

“I am fine with anything.” Lily replied and he nodded.

“What about after lunch? What should we do then?” He cut Lily off and she frowned at him.

“What? What's with the frown?” He asked and poked her cheek which made her smile.

“I didn't like the way you cut me off. I wanted to ask you an important question.” She said,
