The Birthday

The morning sun shone on my face, I turned, hoping to sleep more, but the loud shrill of the alarm on the bedside table jerked me up from the bed.

I jumped up, rubbing my blurry eyes as I gazed around the unfamiliar room. Waking up in a grand palace was so different, the feeling it brought was different. Even though I was a princess to them, I had never slept in a castle as grand as that before.

I kept looking around, taking in every angle of the room. The sun bit my body, and that was when I realized that I was naked, I turned to the other side of the bed, but there was no one there, Sebastian was nowhere to be found.

I had been weighed down by the weight of the promise I made to the triplets the day before, and my thoughts wouldn’t let me be at peace, I had to take something which would get the thoughts off my head. I had taken too much bottle of beer the night before, and I couldn’t remember anything that happened after getting drunk.
