Chapter 95 A Doctor for a Battle

The little white house was lighted and became the only bright spot on the dark hillside, so that the house could be seen from far away. There was a doghouse in the yard, and the dog barked uneasily. Its voice echoed in the silent woods and could be heard far away.

Ning Tao frowned behind the white building. Dogs had a keen sense of smell and hearing, and apparently this dog had sensed their arrival.

"Why's the dog barking? Is someone coming?" asked a man's voice.

"It could be that visitor. He has telephoned me and said he would come. I'll check it out," Ma Jiaorong's voice said.

A door on the second floor opened and Ma Jiaorong appeared in the hallway. She held the cement fence and looked at the direction of the gate. Making sure that no one was there, she turned her eyes to the uneasy wolf dog, shouting, "You damn dog! You bark all the time. What are you barking for? If you annoy me, I'll kill, stew and eat you!"
